EU Sugar Deal Set to Throw 200,000 Farmers in Africa, the Caribbean Into Poverty.
A choice to lift a top on European sugar beet generation by 2017 is undermining to toss a huge number of sugar stick ranchers in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific into destitution.
The choice by the European Union to lift the top on sugar beet generation by 2017, will mean little scale sugar stick agriculturists in Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (APC) and Least Developed Countries (LDC) — including previous British states such as Jamaica — will battle to compete with European sugar beet ranchers, who get subsidies from the EU.

Lagos Court Frees Babalakin over ₦4.7billion alleged Fraud
A Lagos state high court has acquitted the Chairman of Bi-Courtney Limited Mr Wale Babalakin, over a N4.7billion misrepresentation affirmations brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was cleared today.
Mr Babablakin close by his helper, Alex Okoh, were captured in 2012 by the EFCC over allegations that the men pocket N4.7billion from the Delta state government coffers in the interest of James Ibori, the sentenced ex-gov. of Delta state.

US Crew in Trouble Over Mutiny on Norwegian Airplane During Snowstorm
Swedish and Norwegian media revealed Sunday that several cabin crew members of a Norwegian Airlines flight carrying 196 passengers walked off the job January 26 after a tense verbal conflict between the pilot and several cabin crew members. The crew members had voiced their disagreement with the pilot about the safety of the flight, citing worries that the plane would not be able to take off amid a snowstorm that had engulfed the US East Coast.
Several other flights had been canceled due to the storm, and four to five tons of snow were said to have accumulated on the wings of the plane, Sweden's Expressen.se explained.

B'Haram burns military camp in Yobe town
Associated sect with Boko Haram faction yesterday assaulted a military camp in Ngelzarma town of Yobe state, smoldering the military camp and also a trailer heap of grains meant for dealers in the town.
As per Daily Trust, the group individuals arrived the town at around 4pm and began shooting sporadically into the air. A security source who would like to be named said that the assailants arrived in an expansive number.
An inhabitant of the town, Malam Hassan Aminu said inhabitants in Ngelzarma had earlier trained the military men positioned in their general vicinity of an approaching assault by the organization assemble as they got a hint that the group individuals were located in a neighboring town.
