Ivory Coast 1s Lady bags 20 years imprisonment for post election violence

Previous Ivorian First Lady Mrs Simone Gbagbo has been sentenced to 20 years detainment by an Ivorian court for arranging post Election brutality after her spouse, Laurent Gbagbo missed out in the 2010 Presidential decisions in Ivory Coast.


In an unanimous judgment yesterday March tenth, the court said Mrs Gbagbo together with her spouse’s supporters, in the wake of dismissing the outcomes from the decisions that saw her spouse’s principle rival, Alassane Ouattara announced victor of the decision, completed exercises that undermined the state security which left more than 3000 individuals dead.


Laurent Gbagbo’s son from a previous marriage, Michel Gbagbo, was additionally sentenced to 5 years detainment for his part in the post decision viciousness. Legal counselors to Mrs Gbagbo say they would be appealing the judgment.

FG makes clemency plea for Nigerians sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Indonesia


The Federal government made a move yesterday March 9th to stop the execution of three Nigerians in Indonesia over their involvement in drug trafficking offenses, a crime that attracts death sentence in Indonesia. At a meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador, Harry Purwanto, in Abuja yesterday March 9th, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Danjuma Sheni,  appealed to the Ambassador to help prevail on his government to convert the death sentences to Life imprisonment as well as expedite action on the exchange of prisoners between both countries.

Dramatic state of Being An adult !

Puberty is the name given to some important physical change that occur somewhere between the aged of 8 and 18. Although you have been changing and growing over since you were born, the changes that happen around this time is more dramatic and mark the time when you stop been a child and start to become an adult.

The most significant change is that your body become capable of reproduction that is, capable of producing babies.


It is important to stay healthy during this time, because your body has a lot of extra work to do and need a good supply of nutrient and energy. Also you will be conscious of how you look. Paying attention to diet, exercise, rest and personal care will make you feel ready for anything. Once you start to become sexually mature you will probably find that you spend more and more time thinking about sex and sexual

relationships.  In particular, you may develop a crush on someone, and you may fall in love for first time. This can be scary, especially when you are not really sure what going on and how you are supposed to behave.  As well as the physical changes, you will start to feel different emotionally.


This because you body is undergoing a major upheaval. You priorities, friendship and interest are changing. You might suddenly feel shy in

the company of other people, embarrassed about things that are happening you or worried that you are not normal. Sometimes, it seems

as if you don’t even know yourself any more. This can be unsettling; making you feels miserable, confused and even angry. All this, are perfectly normal although it may not seem so at the movement, the difficulties will pass quickly and you will be ready to get on with being a young adult.


Puberty can also be an anxious and uncertain time, but it can also exciting. After all, you are becoming what you have wanted to be since

you were about    three grown up! The purpose of this article is to help reassure you that what is happening to you is normal, to give information on what is likely to happen next time and to help you understand your feelings about becoming an adult.

Students Flee Kaduna College Over Deadly Clash Between Civilians & Soldiers

Understudies of the Kaduna State College of Education in southern Kaduna today fled the establishment by the thousand as a conflict in the zone in the middle of troops and a few regular people claimed a few lives.

Affirming the scene, a security source in Kaduna told a reporter of SaharaReporters that the conflict happened in the town of Gidan Waya close to Kafanchan in the disturbed southern Kaduna zone of Kaduna State.


“We received a coded message about a clash between soldiers and some of the local residents,” said the source. He added: “The clash resulted in a few deaths. However, we are yet to confirm the cause of the fight and the actual number of casualty.”


Our reporter attempted to get in touch with Colonel Sani Usman, a representative of Nigerian Army, for further detail, yet we were not able to get him at the time of this report.
