Century of War

by Auslander
Saker, what you wrote is not a rant, I would liken it more to an almost primal scream of frustration and rage brought on by what you and I both understand is happening and has already happened with irreversible consequences.
I am Auslander. Most of you know what that word means and I use that pen name because that is what I am when I go ‘home’ to USA where I was born which, by the way, has as much chance of happening again as the Dark Lord driving a Kenworth with a Myers snow blade on it in his kingdom. I also use that name because when I go ‘home’ to my ethnic roots I no longer feel what I am, 100% ethnic German.

Syrian-Turkish Border Security: Check Point Taurus

by Ghassan Kadi
My previous article titled “Kurdish Autonomy; Partition Or Master Plan” was met with some controversy. Some readers seemed to have missed a very basic point it raised. Others misunderstood the main issue and tried to put words into my mouth saying that the article condoned partition and argued that Syrian Kurds should not be given independence and a separate state, even though the article clearly indicated that such was not its objective. This article herein is intended to shed more light on the subject and emphasize an issue that is paramount for long-term Syrian security.

In Syria, Putin Smashes Terrorists Like Kutuzov Smashed Napoleon

Much has been said and written about the Russian military operation in Syria, from its sudden start to its abrupt halt; few however have put it quite so 'eloquently' as The Spectator's Taki Theodoracopulos, who compared the Russian mission in Syria to Field Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov's successful campaign against Napoleon during the War of 1812.

In his column for the conservative British magazine, Theodoracopulos recalled the Russian field marshal's tactics during the war against Napoleon, and suggested that in one important way, they were similar to Russian President "Uncle Vlad" Putin's air operation against the terrorists in Syria: both men sought to avoid the risks of getting bogged down, and both men succeeded.

The writing is on the wall for the European Union

The latest bomb attacks in Brussels are the clear proof that the attacks in Paris were not a fluke, but the first in what is likely to be a long string of similar terror attacks. Such attacks are really nothing new, this is exactly what Russia has to endure in the 1990s, from the same people and for the same reasons. But whereas Russia eventually succeeded in defeating both the Chechen Wahabi insurgency and the Chechen Wahabi terrorism, Europe appears to lack all the resources needed to prevail. What is even worse, EU leaders appear to be dead set in their current russophobic policies thereby cutting themselves off the much needed help Russia could offer.
