43 year old  Nigel Wilkinson, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and three counts of administering a substance with intent to rape at Bristol Crown Court.  Wilkinson met his victims on the social network before inviting them to his home for ‘male fitness’ photoshoots. Once there he would ply them with drink and drugs – including class C date rape drugs Flunitrazepam also known as Rohypnol, and Nitrazepam which renders them “senseless and incapable”.

I’m Not A Sponsor Of Niger Delta Militancy-Jonathan


Former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan has denied being one of the sponsors of militancy in the Niger Delta region.
The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) had said many notable Ijaw and other Niger Delta leaders and elders, including Jonathan were involved in sponsoring the activities of militancy in the Niger Delta region.
The former president’s Media Aide, Ikechukwu Eze in a statement on Sunday said the claim made by Cynthia White should be discarded as Jonathan could never be a sponsor of militancy in the Niger Delta.

Housemaid Steals, Buries N1.5 Million In Bush


The sum of N1.5 million stolen in Lagos by a housemaid, Happiness Gabriel, has been recovered in a bush, in Ogun State.
The 18-year-old maid, who stole her boss’s money within two and a half hours of being engaged in her Lagos home, was reportedly aided by her 30-year-old stepfather, Gabriel Igbang.
It was gathered that sometimes in May 2016, Happiness was contracted by Mrs Bolanle Ibukunoluwa through one Alhaja popularly known and called Iya Dolapo, as a housemaid and the monthly salary agreed upon was N7, 000 which was to be paid at the end of the year.

A total of 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in a friendly artillery fire incident in Donetsk on Thursday, according to Russian language news reports.

According to a news release posted on the website of the Donetsk ministry of defense, the casualties took place in Avdievka when an artillery unit of the 12th Battalion of Ukrainian 26th Separate Artillery Brigade struck positions of the Ukrainian 58th Separate Mechanized Rifle Brigade. The reason for the incident was improper adjustment of an artillery fire.

EFCC Arrests 3 FAAN Staff For N100m Fraud Using 8 Accounts

The EFCC, on August 2, 2016 arrested a level six officer of the Accounts Department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Christy Olabode, for an alleged fraud to the tune of N100 million. Also arrested was her younger brother, Abdul-Shehu Obaze, a staff at the Commercial Department of FAAN in Ilorin, Kwara State, and Dominic Ojo, an IT officer at FAAN Headquarters, Lagos. Her arrest followed an anonymous petition, which indicated that she allegedly diverted the said sum, by inserting names of non-FAAN staff into its payroll. LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamic extremists have a new leader who promises to end attacks on mosques and markets used by Muslims, according to an interview published Wednesday by the Islamic State group.

The group's al-Nabaa newspaper identified Abu Musab al-Barnawi as the new "Wali" of its West Africa Province, a title previously used to describe long-time leader Abubakar Shekau.

The report did not say what Shekau's current status is.

The Daily Daesh D-Day Dilemma

In the closing article of “The Daesh Chronicles”; The Prognosis, I raised the alarm about the high likelihood of Daesh attacks increasing in frequency and domain of activity. I even warned that they may become daily events that the West will one day have to contemplate.

In hindsight, I did not expect the escalation of those attacks to reach this threshold so soon, because daily attacks are already a reality in the West; especially Europe.

Uganda has picked three Nigerian companies and one from Australia for its oil exploration licensing round, inviting them to negotiate for production sharing agreements, it said on Monday.
It announced its first competitive bidding round for six exploration blocks, covering a total of 3,000 square kilometres (1,150 square miles), in February 2015.
Bidding documents were issued to 16 oil firms but only seven submitted bids.
