The yuan is about to enter the IMF’s basket of reserve currencies this coming Saturday – alongside the US dollar, pound, euro and yen. This is no less than a geoeconomic earthquake.
Not only does this represent yet another step in China’s irresistible path towards economic primacy; the Chinese currency’s inclusion in the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) basket will also lead central banks and hyper-wealthy funds – especially from the US – to increasingly buy more Chinese assets.
At the first US presidential debate, Donald Trump took no prisoners, criticizing China’s currency manipulation. This is what he said:

Spokesman for the US Department of State John Kirby said that Moscow would continue “to send troops home in body bags, and will continue to lose resources,” if does not “stop the violence” in Syria. According to him, in the case of continuation of the conflict, extremists may exploit the situation to attack Russian cities, in addition, “more Russian aircraft will be shot down.”

DARPA Ramps Up Defenses Against Russia’s Electro-Attacks on the Battlefield


With the Russian military well ahead of the US in electronic warfare (EW) capabilities, BAE Systems has been awarded a contract from the Pentagon to help close the gap.

The US military has expressed concern over Russia’s EW capabilities for several years. Earlier this month, Army Secretary Eric Fanning said that "the combination of unmanned aerial systems and offensive cyber and advanced electronic warfare capabilities…provide Russian forces a new degree of sophistication," according to Defense One.
