Protest as Ambode bans LAGBUS operations on Ikorodu road


The Lagos State Government at the weekend banned LAGBUS (red buses) from plying the Ikorodu Road corridor with effect from today. The state government said the decision was to introduce Intelligent Traffic System along the BRT corridor, and that all other franchises, apart from the BRT (blue buses) had to relocate from the corridor. .

Recession: Erisco Foods shuts down Nigeria’s factory, relocates to China


Erisco Foods Limited has announced the shutdown of its tomato manufacturing business in Nigeria citing an unfavourable operating climate which has escalated operational costs in recent months, The Sun reports.

The President/CEO, Chief Eric Umeofia, said the company had concluded plans to relocate the manufacturing aspect of the business to China from where finished products would be imported and sold to consumers in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

One of the largest German newspapers, Das Bild, seriously claimed that there are "good" and "bad" bombs that are being dropped on Middle Eastern countries.
