The Ondo Government has banned the generation and utilization of provincially made gin, generally called `ogogoro` in the state. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Akinyanju, reported this at a news gathering in Akure on Saturday. The chief credited the boycott to the flare-up of an obscure sickness two weeks prior in Irele Local Government Area of the state.
