Top individuals from APC Rivers state section led the party's governorship candidate in the April eleventh governorship election, Dakuku Peterside, were tear-gassed at INEC home office in Abuja today where they'd organized a protest to request the release of elctoral materials used amid the last election for assessment by the party.
The Rivers state appointive tribunal had allegedly allowed them permision to investigate the materials utilized amid the governorship election however as indicated by the party, the state's electoral commission had chosen to disregard the tribunals mandate. Reports say the group who arrived the commission's base camp at around 8am, got upset when they were denied access into INEC office. To disperse them , Nigerian police officer positioned at the commission, tear gassed them.
