El-Rufai Orders Banks To Close Govt. Accounts, Remit Balance To CBN print


Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has directed all banks with accounts of the state government to close them.
According to El-Rufai, the decision to close the accounts was to give way for implementation of the Treasury Single Account, TSA, framework by 1 September, 2015.

In the early August, the Saudi-led coalition officially invaded Yemen. At least 3000 coalition troops with military equipment deployed in Aden as part of the second offensive of “Operation Golden Arrow” to roll back the territory held by the al Houthi government. The Yemeni government has been deploying fighters in Aden and Taiz where Saudi-led forces are focused. Al Houthi-linked attacks along the border with Saudi Arabia have increased.

Can't We Just Get Married Without Involving Families?

Don't get the message wrong; I'm not totally against involving families in marriage but I feel it's better done after the young man and lady has tied the nuptial knots in the court of law. I've seen many cases where a guy would take a girl to his parents to introduce her as his future wife. The parents may accept initially but there would always be one grandpa with so much history in his bald head to ruin the show. He would tell you how the girl's people treated his own village in 1857, and for that reason the marriage shouldn't hold. This can be just so frustrating, especially when the young people involved are seriously in love with each other. Since bigotry and tribal sentiments can't be removed, I suggest we limit families involvement in marriage affairs.

Teenager Arrested For Trying To Penetrate 2 Year Old

A teenage boy, who allegedly attempted To Molest a two-year-old girl in a toilet, was on Wednesday hauled up before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

The 17-year-old student, who lives with his pastor at Akinsola Street, Dopemu, a suburb of Lagos, is facing a charge of attempt to commit rape.

Pregnant Woman Beaten To Coma

A 34-year-old pregnant woman identified as Ikhuenbor Joy has been arraigned before an Egor Magistrate Court for beating another pregnant woman, Gift Nkechi, to coma.

The beating occurred at No 3 Ikhuenbor lane off Odion Street, Evbuotubu Quarters in Egor local government.

20 Year-old Onitsha House Maid Hacked To Death For Refusing Sex With Boss’s Son

A 20-year old house maid, Chioma Onyegili, was hacked to death yesterday by a 31-year-old son of her madam, Okechukwu (surname withheld), for refusing to have sex with him in Onitsha, Anambra state.

The incident occurred at about 9.30 pm Wednesday at 56 Ziks Avenue Fegge, Onitsha, when the suspect now in police custody used a cutlas to kill the maid for refusing to accept his advances.

A former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Haladu Hananiya, is in trouble for allegedly paying N150,000 for a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser jeep worth N13 million.

As indicated by Saudi media, the bombing occurred in the mosque used by Saudi special forces. Loss of life is required to rise. "There was traffic around Alhaji Masha road, close to Adegoke and the Police wanted to clear the road. Instead of them to come down from their van to control the traffic like civilized police men or even blow their siren to alert people to give way. They resulted to firing their guns carelessly! They did not even take care to shoot only in the air, they were careless. Then, one of the stray bullets hit a shop around the area and my brother works in that shop! Thankfully the bullet only hit the wall, but it just could have easily been somebody's head! How can the people placed to protect us be our nightmare?

 A Nigerian man living in the United States has been charged with murder after his mother was found dead at her Regency Park apartment in Texas USA.
Dr Hauwa Esther Kadima, 61, was found dead on July 28 after officers received a call from her son Daniel Basor Kadima, 31, alerting them of a person believed to be dead at her apartment.
Daniel called 911 about 9 a.m. July 28 and told dispatchers he was calling to report a death, according to the warrant, which was released Monday. When asked when he had last seen the deceased, he responded “yesterday,” police said.
