Twenty Senators have signed a motion seeking to institute impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan. The House of Representatives which commenced collecting signatures for the president’s ouster last week now has about 200 in support of the proceeding, according to Minority Whip, Samson Osagie.
The lawmakers are going for President Jonathan’s jugular, after last week’s invasion of the National Assembly by security agencies where they teargased the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and his colleagues.
