Forgotten Russian MiG Resurrected as New Chinese 5th Generation Jet?

The first Russian fifth generation fighter is not the much advertised T-50, which according to plan should begin to arrive into the Russian Military and Space Forces in early 2016, but the almost forgotten project MiG 1.44, which was abandoned in the early 2000s.

The MiG 1.44 was developed in conjunction with the F-22 and could have gone into service in the late nineties but the collapse of the state, along with the difficult economic situation in the country, did not allow this to happen and the project had to be abandoned, with preference given to the ‘Sukhoi’ series.

Russian President V. Putin held meeting in the Kremlin'Putin is Right When Accusing Turkey of Supporting Terrorists'

Vladimir Putin was right when he stated that Turkey de-facto supports ISIL militants and provides them with arms and equipment that they need to fight in Syria, US magazine Defense One reported.

After a Turkish Air Force F-16 shot down a Russian Su-24 plane, which was on an anti-ISIL bombing mission, the Russian government harshly criticized Turkey's aggressive actions, describing the incident as a "stab in the back, carried out against us by accomplices of terrorists."

Turkey is complicit in funding the Islamic State militant group through purchase on the territory of Turkey of crude oil stolen from fields captured by ISIL

Under the Sea: Russian, Chinese Submarines Challenge for US

The industry for building and acquiring modern submarines is growing exponentially. The United States, Russia, China and even India are designing and building multiple new classes of subs, equipped with a growing variety of weapons and sensors.

Neocons Hidden Agenda: Why Washington Wants Turkey to Send Troops to Syrian Border ?

The Obama regime is evidently encouraging Ankara to secure its border with Syria to counteract ISIL and other terrorist bunches from smuggling individuals, weapons and supplies all through the war-torn nation, yet Bangkok-based geopolitical specialist and essayist Tony Cartalucci is convinced that the US and Turkey have evil objectives nefarious top priority.

Washington gauges that a 30,000 strong forces will have the capacity to close the border. Interestingly, the same number of troops is needed to create a safe zone in Syria, as indicated by the Pentagon’s fall assessment. This is not an incident, Cartalucci accepts, and assuming this is the case, it could indicate a conceivable and disturbing situation.

This could well be the arrangement, as per Cartalucci, since Damascus-led troops helped by Russian forces are making picks up and pushing radicals from their fortresses crosswise over Syria day by day. Provided that this is true, Moscow ought to prevent  this from happening through political means.

Erdogan's 'Silent Backers': Who Egged Turkish Leader to Attack Su-24?

Was the downing of the Russian Su-24 Erdogan's "oil revenge" for Turkey's losses from the destruction of oil smugglers' truck fleet bombed by the Russian Air Force in Syria? Or maybe it is just the tip of a very big iceberg, F. William Engdahl asks.

American-German researcher, historian and strategic risk consultant F. William Engdahl notes that back in August 2015, he wrote about the Harvard-educated 35-year-old son of Turkish President Erdogan, Bilal Erdogan, who was involved "up to his eyeballs" in illicit oil smuggling from Syria and Iraq.

Why is the US Hanging Turkey Out to Dry? …. article by Andrew Korybko

Why is the US Hanging Turkey Out to Dry?

By Andrew KORYBKO (USA)
Turkey’s shooting down of the Russian anti-ISIL aircraft was an unprecedentedly direct aggression against Moscow that trumps even the tense and hostile militarism of the Old Cold War era. The world stands on edge in the immediate aftermath of this attack, with tabloid-esque commentators warning that the beginning of World War III awaits. President Putin, for his part, has been much more measured in responding to the incident, but still couldn’t contain his shock at having received this “stab in the back delivered by accomplices of the terrorists.”

Vandals stole nearly $250 million worth of petrol from a single pipeline in Nigeria in the first nine months of 2015, the country’s state-run oil company said Thursday, as motorists complained of shortages.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said 531 million litres of petrol worth more than 50 billion naira were lost between January and September.
The petrol was taken from the System 2B pipeline which stretches from the financial hub of Lagos to Ilorin, some 260 kilometres (160 miles) away to the northeast, the company added in a statement.
Nigerian governments past and present have repeatedly blamed pipeline vandalism and theft in the oil sector for hitting revenues as well as supplies to consumers.

The increasing velocity of events in Syria indicates that the conflict may be ready to spill over into a larger conflagration and direct conflict between the forces of the AZ hegemon and the Resistance thereto. A couple of apparently un-related events have rapidly coalesced into armed conflict between an NATO member state and Russia, the consequences of which are yet to be revealed, but unlikely to be anything but more fuel on the fires of the not only the Syrian conflict but the war between the AZ empire and Russia.

Report from Crimea by Auslander (The situation in Krimea and Sevastopol is serious)

Auslander posted this sitrep in our comment section. I have reposted it here for all to read. (Webmaster)
The situation in Krimea and Sevastopol is serious.
The power coming to Krimea was actually Russian electric, ‘transshipped’ to Krimea via uke power system, at great cost I might add. Included in this formal agreement and written contract was Russia supplying the ukes with substantially more electric than was ‘shipped’ to Krimea. Part of the payment for the transport fees was the high quality coal found only in Donbas within ukeland. Uke heating and electric generating plants are designed for specifically this coal and nothing else. The coal was shipped from Novorossiya to Rostov, then shipped north and west where it entered ukeland.

Russia May Use Electronic Jamming Systems to Protect Its Pilots in Syria

Russia will have to resort to electronic warfare in Syria to protect its pilots and prevent incidents similar to the downing of Russia’s Su-24 jet on Tuesday, according to Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinsky; they will include both ground-based systems and equipment installed on special aircraft.

“Regarding the possible impact of this incident on the further developments of the operation in Syria, I think that from now on, our pilots will be more attentive and if the Turks continue behaving in such a manner, Russia will have to resort to electronic jamming and other warfare equipment, including special aircraft with special equipment on board, in order to protect our pilots from being stricken with missiles,” said the lieutenant-general.
Buzhinsky also added that the so-called means of objective control, including flight radar and other equipment, will allow Russia to verify exactly where and how the bomber was downed, excluding any possible discrepancies on the issue.

Earlier on Tuesday, Russian Su-24M Fencer bomber was downed by an air-to-air missile in Syria near the Turkish border by the Turkish Air Force while carrying out precision strikes against terrorists in northern Syria.
The Su-24 bomber jet was in Syrian airspace at the altitude 6,000 meters, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The pilots were reportedly able to parachute out of the jet before it crashed.

Update: Turkey Summons Russian Ambassador Over Downed Su-24

Turkey has summoned the Russian Minister Counsellor over the downed Su-24, according to the embassy press representative Igor Mityakov.

The Russian Minister Counsellor in Ankara has been summoned to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian embassy confirmed.

“The Embassy confirms that Russian Embassy Minister Counsellor in Ankara Sergei Panov has been summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry. We will make no comments on the subject of discussion,” Mityakov said.

Downing of Su-24 'Will Have Serious Consequences' for Russia-Turkey Ties
Tragedy with Russian Su-24 downed in Syria to have serious consequences for Moscow-Ankara relations, Vladimir Putin stated.

The Russian president underscored that "either way, our pilots and our plane were not posing a threat to the Republic of Turkey."

“This tragic event will have serious consequences for Russian-Turkish relations. We have always regarded Turkey not only as a close neighbor, but also as a friendly state. I don’t know who needed what was done today, but we didn’t in any case,” Putin said during a meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II in Sochi.

Russia will analyze everything that happened with its crashed Su-24 military aircraft in Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.
"We will, of course, carefully analyze everything that happened," Putin said at a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II.

"Instead of contacting us immediately Turkey addressed their  NATO partners  — as if it was us who downed their plane, not vice versa," Putin said.
"Our jet fell six kilometers away from the border, within Syrian arispace."
The Russian Su-24 was directly tasked with the fight against the Islamic State group, carrying out preventative airstrikes against terrorists, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.

"They were carrying out an operation to combat IS. Northern Latakia is a mountainous region where militants are gathered, mostly natives of the Russian Federation. In this sense, they were carrying out their direct task of preventative strikes against terrorists who could return to Russia at any time. These are, of course, people who must be considered international terrorists," Putin said at a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II.
A Russian Su-24 was shot down over Syria on Tuesday, according to reports from the Russian Defense Ministry. The two pilots were able to eject from the plane, although their current fate is unknown.

NATO Calls Emergency Meeting After Russian Su-24 Downed Over Syria

NATO has called an emergency meeting after Russian Su-24 jet was downed over the Turkish-Syrian border.

The NATO ambassadors will meet in Brussels at 5 pm (4 pm GMT).
"The meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization will be held at 5 pm (4 pm GMT) at Turkey's request," the NATO representative said.
NATO is monitoring the situation closely, the representative added. The Alliance is in close contact with the Turkish government.
The Russian Su-24 military aircraft that crashed in Syria earlier in the day was downed by an air-to-air missile from a Turkish plane, Russia's President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday, describing the incident as a "stab in the back."
Putin added that the aircraft was around a kilometer (0.6 miles) from Turkey when it was hit.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the Russian Su-24 Fencer jet crashed in Syria with two people aboard. Ankara claims Turkish F-16s shot down the plane because it violated the country's airspace. Contrary to Ankara’s accusations, the Russian Defense Ministry said the Russian jet did not violate Turkish airspace and cited objective monitoring data as proof.
According to initial ministry information, both pilots were able to eject from the airplane. Their current condition and whereabouts have not been released.
