Renowned lawyer and ex-NBA president Okey Wali kidnapped

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, have announced the kidnap of its immediate past president, Okey Wali. According to a statement released last night, Mr Wali was kidnapped in Port Harcourt yesterday Saturday October 11th around 9pm by unknown persons.

"Okey Wali is a man of peace who has not only contributed immensely to the enthronement of rule of law and protection of human rights, but also to the development of our Nation. It is therefore saddening that he should become a kidnap victim. This sad event is yet another reminder of the state of insecurity in which all Nigerians live. We passionately appeal to his abductors for his immediate and safe release to his family." the statement read

Nigerian musician Flavour Nabania has been dropped from the 18th edition of the World Creole Music Festival which takes place in the Caribbean Island of Dominica over fears of Ebola. The announcement was made by their Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit. The minister said his decision is final. The musician who is supposed to have performed on October 25th has lost alot of money due to his exclusion from the concert.

The musician's picture which was on the music festival's website has equally been removed.

Shocking. Mum who permitted her BF to kill her child freed after telling her story

In October 2012, 23yr old Victoria Phanhtarath and her then boyfriend Freddy Mendez were arrested over the beating death of Victoria's 3 year old daughter, Alexis Hawkins. Freddy was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, Victoria was sentenced to 35 years for failing to protect her child from an abusive man. Describing how Freddy beat Alexis to death, Victoria said;

"Freddy is still spanking Alexis and I go get my son. And I come back and he's sitting there. And he pushed her and he kicked her and threw her across the room, all the way to the window. He picked her up by the throat and slammed her on the floor. He's kicking her and hitting her on the chest. And he said get this little b**ch. Go take care of her."

Balling things. Mr attractive and rich Davido slipped nearly $8,000 (about N1.3m) for a room at the lavish Wynn Las Vegas and Encore lodge for his birthday week-end next month. The reason for the accident is not even known but many believe speeding might have been a factor. The Wife of Cameroon's Vice PM,Chinese nationals, others released by B'Haram

27 people, such as the wife of Cameroon's Vice PM Amadou Ali, 10 Chinese nationals and others have been taken hostage by Boko Haram men between May and July this season have now been released. Their release was made known in a statement released today by Cameroon's Minister of Information, Issa Bakary

 "The 27 hostages kidnapped on May 16 2014 at Waza and on July 27th at Kolofata were given this night to Cameroonian authorities. Ten Chinese, the wife of the Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, the Lamido of Kolofata, and members of their families kidnapped with them are safe" the statement read in part

It didn't state whether their release was made possible through negotiations or if it was a voluntary act by the sect members
