B'Haram eliminates 4 Nigerian refugees in Cameroon

Four Nigerians taking refuge in a village in the far north of Cameroon have already been killed by members of Boko Haram during an attack that took place on Friday October 24th.

In accordance with a statement made available today to AFP, the Cameroonian Ministry of Defence said the sect members attacked "the village of Glawi,  killing four Nigerian refugees and wounding one Camerounian, before being pushed back by defence forces which pursued them.

Baze University Student Union Leader Murdered By Friend Over N7m Loan

A student union leader at Baze University, Abuja, Awwal Umar, has been murdered by his friend, Abdullahi Bello, and a spiritualist, Lawal Saleh, over N7m the deceased lent to Bello. Bello was said to have lured Umar, 26, who just got married, to Katsina State, where he was attacked and killed by some hoodlums who hid in a bush to carry out the dastardly act. Parading the two suspects on Thursday in Abuja, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, explained that Bello masterminded the murder after he could not pay back the N7m loan he got from Umar. According to him, Bello had earlier asked the spiritualist to hypnotise Umar to forget the money, but the charm did not work, as the student kept pestering him for his money.

Massive Corruption Going On Under Jonathan, Okonjo-Iweala’s watch – Amaechi

Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, has accused the President Goodluck Jonathan-led federal government of massive corruption. Amaechi spoke yesterday ahead of Saturday’s mega rally at the new Adokiye Amaesiamaka Stadium at Igwurutali. According to him, no line of difference exists between funds meant for the public and those for private pockets. Amaechi said Minister of Finance and Coordinator of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, recently claimed that the country is not broke while state governments are being owed their allocations.

Having A Tattoo Makes Me Feel Like The Devil’s Child - Ego

Lagbaja’s former singing partner, Ego has said even though she loves tattoos and wanted to get it at a time, she’s glad she didn’t because it makes her feel she is the devil’s child. Here’s are reasons for not having tattoos. My first reason borders on religion. There is a part of the Bible that is against writing anything on your body. I feel if I do it, I am the devil’s child. At a time I wanted to get it, I went to the tattoo parlour but for a weird reason, it did not happen. It was like a phase and after a while, I got over it. I actually wanted to choose between tattoo and my dreadlocks; I could not have them both, she told Punch.

Boko Haram Releases Abducted Women in Adamawa

There are reports that Boko Haram insurgents, who abducted about 50 women and girls from two border villages between Adamawa and Borno states have freed the women among their captives.

This was disclosed in an interview by villagers, who spoke on the issue with newsmen on the telephone from their hide-outs. They however, said that the exact number of those released could not be ascertained, but that no fewer than 45 girls were still being detained.
