Wow photos: Wealthy Africans spending almost £4million-a-week on London property


Based on a fresh report, super rich Africans are spending almost £4million on London property weekly while they snap up some of the very exclusive investments in the capital, this in accordance with Real Estate agents in the UK.
A lot more than £600million has been spent in London by Africans in the last 36 months and its on the increase. The wealthy buyers are from Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, Gabon, Cameroon and Senegal, UK Daily Mail reports.  
Nigerians are the greatest spenders, with wealthy nationals forking out £250million on London homes within the last three years. A combination of traditional reasons coupled with increased terrorism and the outbreak of Ebola is reported to be behind the dramatic influx of African money to the capital.

Gov. Amaechi responds to presidential statement, calls out Reuben Abati

Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state has reacted to yesterday's statement from the presidency where he was told to avoid political rascality and blackmail. Talking through the state's Commissioner for Information, Ibim Semenitari, Governor Amaechi claimed there clearly was never an time he mentioned First lady, Dame Patience Jonathan. He also described Presidential Spokesman, Reuben Abati as the rascality within the Presidency.

 The twitter handle of OAU students tweeted this pic above alleging he's a rapist caught in the institution premises. They didn't say if he's students or not nevertheless they say he allegedly raped or tried to rape 100 level student. Provides details later...

Wizkid Arrested For Smoking In A Non-Smoking Hotel In Nairobi

Wizkid who was in Nairobi on the weekend to shoot a movie and also had a couple of shows was arrested at Nairobi Crown Plaza, a non-smoking hotel where he was lodged. A Nairobian website which gave account of the scene reports that, the Nigerian star was arrested when he was about checking out from the hotel after it  was discovered he'd smoked an illegal substance- weed.

US nurse Drags Authority to court after being forced into quarantine in New Jersey


Doctors Without Borders  nurse, has hired a civil rights lawyer to sue after she was forced into quarantine after returning to the US from looking after Ebola victims in Sierra Leone. The US Govt recently started a required 21-day quarantine order for many health workers who arrived back to the US via airports in New York, New Jersey and Chicago, to greatly help stop the spread of Ebola.

Fashion icon Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and football legend Amokachi at loggerheads over Naija's passion

Nigerian fashion designer, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi was a guest on Channels TV programme, ‘Sunrise Today’, on Saturday, 25 October where she talked about the fashion industry.

Photos: Man allegedly shot by police in Delta State


25 year old Moses Onianwa (pictured above on bed) who works with Oshimili North LGA, was allegedly shot by policemen mounted on Ibusa Police Station in Delta State this last Saturday.  Based on his friends who reached out to one of our sources, Moses was in company of three other friends and were monitoring the final Saturday LGA elections when police allegedly pursued and shot at them at Asaba.
"Two of the boys ran while 2 others stayed back with the driver of the vehicle, Christopher 29, who was beaten black and blue. Unfortunately, Moses out of fright took off but was immediately shot thrice. The two legs were battered and his shoulder was shot at too. He is currently dying at FMC Asaba."

British-Egyptian born Yosra el-Essawy, the photographer who captured Beyonce's The Mrs. Carter World Tour, and was behind a few of Beyonce's iconic photos, has died. Yosra had been battling inoperable esophageal cancer for approximately a year. She lost her fight with it on Saturday Oct. 25th. She was just 33 years old.Yosra was open about the condition and chronicled her fight with it on her instagram page. Beyonce's official website dedicated a day to her and wrote;

“You will forever be embedded in the hearts of all you have encountered. May you rest in perfect peace.". RIP, lady!

Pic: 300 UNIBEN student killed on campus by unknown gunmen


A 300 level student of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences at the University of Benin in Edo state, Ejiroghene Gbenidio (pictured above) was shot dead by unknown gunmen inside the Ugbowo campus of the school on Friday October 24th.

According to reports, Ejiro was attending the jeans carnival of the final year students of his faculty when he was accosted and shot in the head. He died instantly.

Gunmen kill 1 German and abduct another in Sagamu

Unknown gunmen killed a German national and abducted another one on Friday morning October 24th in Sagamu, Ogun state. The two men, who worked for Julius Berger, were traveling in two separate vehicles without their security escorts when the gunmen attacked and fired shots into their vehicles.
"About four armed men emerged from the bush near Sagamu on Friday morning and attacked. A bullet hit one German and he was confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital, while the hoodlums abducted another German.” police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi told AFP

Mob hacks suspected thief in Calabar


An unidentified suspected burglar was on Sunday inflicted with deep machete cuts after he was caught attempting to steal wine and alcoholic beverages from a shop along the Atu Street intersection of Goldie Street in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The burglar was said to have broken into the shop in the early hours of the day with three other accomplices who managed to escape from the scene of the incident.
An eyewitness, B.F. Johnbosco, who spoke with PUNCH Metro on Sunday, said the thieves had broken into the wine shop around 5am, but someone sighted them and raised the alarm.

Robbers write Lagos residents, demand end-of-year gifts


Residents of Onimaba, College Bus stop, Ikotun Road, Igando, Lagos have been living in fear since last week Thursday when a letter purportedly written by armed robbers circulated their streets.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the letter, which was typed on an A4 paper and scattered on the streets, was noticed by residents as they woke up on Thursday morning.
About 20 copies of the letter were said to have been picked up from streets such as Lateef Bello, Ogunbewon, Taiwo Adediran, and Alhaji Hamzat.

FG Warns Against Sigmatising EVD Survivors


The President Goodluck Jonathan led Federal Government warned all employers to avoid stigmatizing Nigerians who were recently discharged from Ebola isolation and quarantine centres. The government reiterated its commitment to total enforcement of the country’s principle and guidelines of “No Stigmatisation, No Discrimination and No Termination of Employment of Workers” for survivors of the Ebola Virus Disease(EVD), after the World Health Organisation declared Nigeria free of EVD.
