In a new interview with Encomium mag, Wizkid said he doesn't care if people think he is arrogant, that he doesn't love everybody and so doesn't expect everybody to love him.

Australia bans Flight from Countries in West Africa over Ebola

The Australian government today announced a flight ban on all flights from West African countries, including Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Thankfully, Nigeria isn't included.

Making the announcement, the Australia's Minister of Immigration, Scott Morrison said under the new travel ban, no new visas could be issued to intending travelers from these countries and that most temporary visas could be cancelled, this is a bid to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.

He also said all passengers with permanent visas which have to visit to Australia from these countries will be put through 21 days of isolation inside their countries of departure and upon arrival in Australia will soon be put through a myriad of test. He also announced the suspension of most its West African and Humanitarian programmes.

According to the recent ranking results released by Webometrics on Monday, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife Osun State is now the best University in Nigeria.
On the ranking, Covenant University in Ota Ogun state came 2nd followed by University of Ibadan in Ibadan Oyo state. Last on the list is Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai.

38 year old Emery James Jenkins (pictured above) has been arrested after he allegedly bit and beat his own son to death...because he wouldn't stop crying...and blamed it on a neighbour's dog.

Man Sentenced to 6 Days Community Service for Stealing Pot of Soup in Lagos

A Somolu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Monday sentenced a 28- year-old man, Abiodun Ojedokun,  to six days of community service for stealing a large pot of soup.
The Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, sentenced the convict to 48 hours of community service  for each of the three-count charge, after he had pleaded guilty to them.

Enugu Deputy Gov. Orders Driver To Pay 60,000 Naira For Hitting His Car

A cooling van driver in Enugu, Mr. Uche Ijeoma, who allegedly hit the Prado Jeep on the convoy of the State Deputy Governor, Rev. Ifeanyi Nwoye, has been detained at the Government House. Based on reports, the incident occurred Monday a week ago near Enugu Airport flyover on the Enugu – Abakaliki highway as the Deputy Governor was on his way to the airport.

Based on Uche, he'd parked his van off the trail on hearing the siren but while other pilot vehicle in front of the Deputy Governor's jeep had passed, the driver of the automobile conveying the Deputy Governor came very near the van and smashed the side mirror at the back of the van.

Speaker Aminu Tambuwal formally defects from PDP to APC

The Speaker of Nigeria's House of Assembly, Aminu Tambuwal, has formally defected from the People's Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Party, APC. The speaker made the announcement at exactly 12.24pm today October 28th during the plenary session of the House. In a brief speech, the speaker said his defection came to be out from the yearning of his people in Sokoto state. You will find speculations that he's likely to contest for governor of Sokoto State. S/Africa & Orlando Pirates goalkeeper shot dead in his girlfriend's house

 Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper and captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead yesterday October 26th at his girlfriend's house just a few hours after the photo above was taken.
According to reports, Meyiwa, 27, who played a match for Orlando Pirates on Saturday night, was at his girlfriend's house, SA pop star Kelly Khumalo (pictured right), when three men entered the home in Vosloorus, Johannesburg to rob them. Meyiwa ended up getting shot in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. No one else in the house was hurt.

14yr old Gia Soriano, victim of Washington school shooting dies in hospital

 Beautiful 14 year old Gia Soriano died in hospital yesterday evening after she was flourished life support. Gia was one of many five people shot at close range by 15 year old Jaylen Fryberg at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington D.C before he turned the gun on himself on Friday October 24th.  Her family released a record saying;

"We are devastated by this senseless tragedy. Gia is our beautiful daughter, and words cannot express how much we will miss her."
