President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan extends heartfelt commiserations to the Government and people of Yobe state on the death of many students in a bomb attack on Potiskum earlier today.
President Jonathan also conveys his deepest sympathies to all parents who lost their beloved children in the heinous attack on the Government Science Secondary School which appears to have been carried out by a suicide bomber.

Merger/Acquisition: Skye Bank acquires Mainstreet Bank
With the completion and signing of share purchase agreements (SPAs) with the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Skye Bank Plc is stepping up the amount of 1st tier banks.
AMCON, in a statement signed by its Head, Corporate Communications Strategy and Research, Mr. Kayode Lambo, a week ago announced that Skye Bank is preferred bidder for the acquisition of the whole issued and fully paid-up ordinary shares of Mainstreet Bank.
Within four days of AMCON’s announcement of Skye Bank as preferred bidder for Mainstreet Bank, Skye Bank paid the mandatory 20% deposit of the bid price, on the same day it signed the SPA and prior to the deadline, that has been October 9, 2014. Skye Bank again, on Oct. 31, paid the 80% balance to accomplish the take-over of Mainstreet Bank prior to the transaction deadline.

Following the killing of 47 students in his state today by Boko haram members, the Governor of Yobe state, Ibrahim Gaidam says that President Jonathan has some explanation to give to the Northern region over the increased attacks by the militants. LA rapper, father of 3 shot dead in broad daylight at McDonalds
Popular West Coast gangster rapper Big Paybacc (pictured above/bellow) was shot dead around 12.30 pm on Thursday November 7th whilst having lunch in a McDonald restaurant in Palmdale, Los Angeles.
The undergound rapper, whose real name was Habeeb Ameer Zekajj, was eating lunch with a buddy in a very crowded restaurant with about 20 others around, when a gunman entered, walked up behind him, shot him point blank in the top multiple times and walked from the restaurant. Big Paybacc was pronounced dead at the scene…
Eye-witnesses said the rapper never saw it coming…and the shooting was caught on CCTV. Police say they are reviewing the security footage to see if they are able to positively identify the shooter who has been described an African-american and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie & blue pants as he entered a getaway car after killing Big Paybacc, who was a self-proclaimed person in the Whitsett Avenue Gangsters, a Crip-affiliated gang in the San Fernando Valley. He leaves behind 3 children.

Photos: 3 die in police/kidnappers shoot out in Anambra state
Six suspected kidnappers engaged Anambra State Police Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in a gun battle at Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area yesterday November 9th, and three members of the gang were killed, while Mrs. Edith Maduekwe, who had been kidnapped by the gang was rescued.
Mrs. Maduekwe, who was kidnapped by the suspects on October 4th, at Oba in Idemili South LGA, was rescued at an erosion site in Oraukwu in Idemili North local government area of the state.
