Policemen arrested for Killing And Burying An Okada Man For No Offence

Some policemen attached to Maroko police station, Lagos State, have been accused of kill­ing a 24-year old man, Aondona Tavershima and buried him in a shallow grave at Lekki beach. According to Sun News, five of the suspected policemen are now cur­rently in police detention. The victim, a motorcy­cle operator, was alleged to have refused to stop when he was accosted by the policemen who were said to be on patrol at about 11am on the fateful day. “On realizing that he was dead, the police­men picked his corpse and put it behind their patrol vehicle, a Toyota Hilux Van, and covered it with tyres. They drove to the beach and buried him. We were the ones who alerted the family that their brother had been killed and buried,” the eyewitness disclosed.

A man who could be one of Brazil’s most productive serial executioners has admitted to killing more than 40 individuals.


Sailson Jose das Gracas told columnists at a police headquarters he executed for fun and an adrenaline rush.

He said he killed for the “fun of it”, as per officers.

Das Gracas, who has been portrayed as an insane person by police, said he liked to murder white ladies, whom he purportedly strangled. Furthermore the 26-year-old suspect said he would frequently watch his exploited people for a considerable length of time before making his move.

He additionally said he worked as an executioner for contract, where he would utilize a firearm as opposed to strangle his exploited people. Police captured him soon after he purportedly cut a lady to death in the Rio de Janeiro suburb of Nova Iguacu.

He guaranteed he arranged his unlawful acts carefully, wearing a rain coat so as to cover his identity and gloves so he would not leave fingerprints, adding he got to be dependent on homicide. Police permitted him to speak with correspondents which is not remarkable in Brazil.

“I observed them, I studied them. I waited for a month, sometimes a week, depending on the place. I tried to ascertain where they lived, what their families were like”, he was quoted as saying by broadcaster Globo G1.

“I kept watch on their houses and then after a while went there at dawn, waited for my chance and entered.”

He added: “When I didn’t do it I would get nervous, then I would go hunting” for other victims.

Das Gracas reportedly began a life of crime at the age of 15 snatching handbags and at 17 he allegedly killed his first victim.

“I don’t feel remorse. If I go to jail for 10, 15, 20 years, then as soon as I get out I’ll do the same thing all over again,” he insisted.

Post-graduate students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, barricaded the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ben Ozumba, in protest against hike in their tuition fees, describing the increase from N69,000 to N145,000 as outrageous.

The placard-carrying protesters, numbering over 200, marched round the school and barricaded the VC’s office.

Family orders release of son who is alleged to have killed his father

The Ukpanah family in Akwa Ibom state are requesting the arrival of Odudu Albert Ukpanah (pictured right ), the only child of PDP Chieftain in Akwa Ibom state, Engr Albert Ukpana who was killed at his home at No 40 Mkpokporo road, Abak in Abak Judicial divison in Akwa Ibom state.

As indicated by a post on a Facebook page titled Release Odudu Albert Ukpanah which was opened by his concerned sisters, Odudu a trained Oil and Gas master from Coventry University England, was captured on May 27th this year by the Akwa Ibom state police charge on the request of the state govt over suspicions he was included in the homicide of his late father (picture left above) on March twelfth.

As indicated by what the sisters composed, the state government had asserted that Odudu murdered his father over the N2million the state government had given to his father. He was captured three days after the internment of his father on May 24th. His sisters say he has been in confinement since May and the state government are yet to give cement proof demonstrating that their only sibling took part in their father’s homicide. They are requesting his quick discharge from police care.
