Russia is stressed over the infringement of truce in eastern Ukraine and needs to caution Kiev powers again: the conflict can never be determined by utilizing power.
MOSCOW, January 14 (Ooduarere) — Russia is alarmed by the sharp increment of truce infringement in eastern Ukraine and cautions Kiev powers against endeavors to return to “coercive situations” in determining the nation’s emergency, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.
“We are very alarmed by all this, because the regime of silence, the ceasefire… is being violated and the shelling has been occurring on a regular and large scale in the past few days,” Lavrov told reporters in Moscow after a meeting with Burundian Foreign Minister Laurent Kavakure.
“We warn our Ukrainian colleagues against attempts to use forcible scenarios [in eastern Ukraine] again. This conflict could be resolved only by direct dialogue, only by peaceful means,” Lavrov said.
The minister focused on that the talks in the structure of the Contact Group on Ukraine are the main way Ukrainian compromise would advance as it directly includes the clashing sides.
“It is imperative to ensure the use of its full potential as soon as possible,” Lavrov said.
In September 2014, Kiev forces and the autonomy supporters of eastern Ukraine arrived at a truce understanding amid a Contact Group meeting in Minsk, Belarus. Be that as it may, both sides have since blamed one another for over and again damaging the ceasefire.
Earlier on Wednesday, a RIA Novosti journalist reported that Donetsk was shelled from Tuesday evening into Wednesday, with the zones close Donetsk Airport additionally hit.
