When I recently signed off of Reflections in Sinoland, saying I was not going to do any more columns for the time being, so as to write my third book,Red Letters – The Diaries of Xi Jinping, I really meant it. But an interesting and thought provoking series of events happened over the last couple of weeks, which has inspired me to write a non-fiction piece again.

Stealing same as corruption, lawyers tell Jonathan

 Some lawyers have cautioned President Goodluck Jonathan to stop differentiating between the acts of stealing and corruption.

The President had during the 8th presidential media chat on Wednesday maintained that there was a difference between the two acts. This came several months after he first made a similar statement.

“If somebody is a thief, he is a thief. We should not use the word ‘corruption’ to cover a case of stealing. Thieves should be called thieves,” the President had said.

Representative Babatunde Fashola hosted Lagosians, players in the inventive commercial enterprises, to a Valentine’s Day to pay tribute to presidential hopeful of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday in Lagos.


The occasion held at the Intercontinental Hotel, and was facilitated by humorist, Julius Agwu. Visitors included General Buhari’s girls, previous FCT Minister Nasir el-Rufai, the Mavin group, amongst others.

She said yes and he gifted her with another helicopter as an engagement present. Extremely extraordinary! However what’s she going to do with a helicopter? hahaha. A man in love mistakes a dimple for a pimple !

Seyilaw and wife mourn the loss of their unborn child, Cossy

Humorist Seyilaw and wife Stacy Ebere are right now grieving the loss of their unborn kid. Stacy lost the child she should conceive in Maryland, US this April. She’s been in the US since December awaiting the birth of her kid just to lose it this week

Stacy reported the loss of her infant young lady on her BB a few days back. She kept in touch with “We lost our baby (daughter) Ccossy R.I.P. Thank God for his strength. I am still standing. Please bear with me I can’t explain to you all.”

Seyilaw likewise grieved their misfortune on online media. He posted the clear photograph on instagram and composed a sonnet. See bellow.

 

Our sympathies Seyi and Ebere. I can’t envision what both of you should get going through at this moment.
