This is one of the most recited verses I am aware of. But I have never been able to discover the full itan (story) of the Holy Odu Ogunderin. Can any of the knowledgeable ones here please share the details of this verse? What were the circumstances surrounding this verse? It explains why we venerate the isese BEFORE orisa. But what is the context, please? I offer humble thanks in advance.

Jonathan said this in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, at an exceptional burial service for eight female legislators and their driver, who passed on in street mishap on February 14.
