Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has named the immediate past Minister of State for Trade and Investment under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Kenneth Kobani, as Secretary to the Rivers State Government. Fuel scarcity to end on or before June 13 - Oil Marketers

Nigerian Oil marketers say the lingering fuel scarcity nationwide will come to an end on or before the 13th of this month. Addressing newsmen after a meeting with the federal government today, the oil marketers said the traffic gridlock at the Oshodi-Apapa express is largely responsible for the scarcity as over 3000 tankers are towing to collect fuel from the Lagos depot to distribute to other parts of the country. They say they will be working with the Lagos state government to effectively manage the traffic so tanker drivers can quickly pick up fuel for distribution.

3 Million Naira carted away as robbers attack Lagos Govt Secretariat Alausa

3 million Naira was reportedly carted away by armed robbers after they stormed the Ministry of Justice in Lagos state government secretariat, Alausa, Lagos in the early hours of today June 5th.

Vanguard reports that the robbers gained access into the office where the money was kept, through the ceiling. The stolen money was withdrawn late Thursday June 4th and was meant to be used to settle payments of mediation officers of the ministry. 20 of the ministry's staff have been detained as investigation is currently ongoing.

Court jails Zamfara state official 29 years for diverting fertilizers

A staff of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Zamfara state, Nasiru Gusau aka Nasiru Succer was today sentenced to 29 years in jail by a Katsina High court for diverting 4, 200 bags of Fertilizers meant for local farmers.

The fertilizers were being transported to the state from Adamawa when it was diverted.
