"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.”
- Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State

This is how the people in power see soldiers. They see civilians as gullible, easily manipulated fools who can be used as pawns to support any money making, power grabbing scheme as long as our rulers tell us it's for our own good and waive a flag.

President Muhammadu Buhari, can’t come to the terms with the fact that Nigerians are particularly in a hurry for him to appoint ministers.

Ban of ogogoro

I laughed when l read that the Federal Government had banned the consumption of local brew gin alias ogogoro nationwide. This is a ban that is dead on arrival and smacks of hypocrisy. If not for ogogoro, how can most of the present occupiers of political offices be where they are today? Ogogoro is the side kick for street orchins and political thugs to get high to carry out their assigned murderous activities to have their way. And now the same beneficiaries of the efficacy of ogogoro during campaigns have risen against it due to reported incidents of death allegedly caused by the local gin in Ondo and Rivers states. Do not sell a dummy to us, you are deceitful.

They have hijacked our change, again - Pat Utomi

It may sound naïve, especially for a person who is obviously a partisan, but my concern and alarm have little to do with who won or lost in the National Assembly leadership elections palaver. Easy as this can be lost on the gladiators, we could be collectively sabotaging the poor ordinary people of Nigeria desperate for change.

Would you go ahead with that wedding if you know you'd die if you cheated?

Let me phrase this question in a simple manner. So, you're dating someone, you get engaged, start planning a wedding and they tell you that before your traditional/white wedding - you and your spouse will be taken to a shrine where you will swear an oat before the gods that you will die just a day after you cheat on your spouse. There's no going back; you cheat and you die the next day. How many of you will still go ahead with the wedding? Think very seriously before you answer...lol (especially the men)
