FG Stops Paying The School Fees Of N’delta Students In Foreign Universities
President, Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Mr. Udengs Eradiri, has raised the alarm over the plight of over 6,000 Niger Delta students on Federal Government’s scholarships in some foreign universities.
He said the authorities of the foreign universities had started delisting the students, majority of whom were Ijaws, due to the alleged Federal Government’s failure to pay the students’ fees.

Anambra State Vigilante Arrest And Brutalize The Queen Of Marijuana (PHOTO)
Local vigilante in idemili North of Anambra State has arrested and brutalized a woman who they declared the queen of marijuana. They claim that the woman has been the sole source of Marijuana importation into the entire south east region but her hideout has been discovered in Anambra state. She reportedly runs her business from the Idemili Axis from where she distributes to other south eastern state. The woman has been handed over to the police.

Professor Attahiru Jega formally bowed out of office as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC today June 30th. He was named director of the electing body in 2010 and has led two campaigns, the 2011 and 2015 decisions. Professor Jega has handed over to Mohammed Wali, a national comissioner of the electoral body from Sokoto state.

The debut of Blessing Egbe's Iquo's Journal took place on Friday 26th June at the Genesis Deluxe Cinema in Lekki, Lagos. The film which stars Kate Henshaw and Femi Jacobs was exceptionally generally welcomed. Kate Henshaw who plays the lead female character Iquo couldn't make it to the occasion because of the set back she encountered the day before.

Policemen beat up driver for refusing to stop.
This video was shared by on Facebook toward the beginning of today and now on youtube. It reveals how two cops beating a driver with their baton. As per what happened, the driver was asked to stop at a police check point but he didnt and when a police man jumped on his bonnet, the driver drove off with him on it. Other drivers and police van later blocked the driver and the police men used their baton to give him genuine beating before they took him away. Here is the video from the scene . Watch above

Stop Insulting Me, Rochas Okorocha Tells Ihedioha
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has warned the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Emeka Ihedioha, to respect his office and stop insulting him on the pages of newspapers.

Kano Govt Back Judgment On Blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed
Kano State Government has expressed satisfaction that the rule of law was allowed to triumph in the last week’s judgment by an upper Shari’a Court in the state, which sentenced on nine persons to death for blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed.
The government noted that the judgment was a clear pointer to the fact that whoever breaks the law of the land would not be spared.
