5000 Naked Women To Protest In Nairobi Ahead Of Obama’s Visit




On 23rd July, 2015, 5000 naked men and women will hold a peaceful demonstration in the streets of Nairobi against the US president, Barrack Obama. The naked protest is put together by the ‘Republican Liberty Party’ whose leader is known as Vincent Kidala. In a letter addressed to the Administration Police commandant, Vicent Kidala has given a notification of the peaceful procession, which will be meant to send a message to Barrack Obama over his stand on homosexuality. The naked protesters will be showing Obama the difference between a man and a woman. Lol. Attached below is the letter that was sent to the AP Commandant by the Republican Liberty Party.

Singer Oritsefemi Hospitalized


Double Wahala crooner and D’banj’s protégé, Oritsefemi is presently hospitalized at the Premier Medical Specialists’ Centre in Lekki. The singer was rushed there when he fell ill and everything had to be put on hold, including a video shoot he was supposed to start yesterday. It was gathered that, this will not be the first time the singer will be hospitalized in the said hospital due to his health condition.

Lagos Shuts 29 Illegal Pharmacies, Chemists, Mostly In Lekki


The Lagos State Government has shut down 29 illegal pharmacies and chemists across the State for operating illegally. Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Fake, Counterfeit and Unwholesome Processed Foods raided the patent stores on Monday and shut them down for operating without being registered with the government.

I Poisoned My Husband Because I Hated Him ─ Beninoise woman


Seventeen-year-old Beninoise woman, Abiodun Ojo, who killed her husband, Jimoh, in the Makoko area of Yaba, Lagos State, has said she poisoned her husband because she hated him.

Abiodun, during an interview with Punch Metro, blamed her father for forcing her to marry Jimoh, who she said never took care of her.

She said she had run away from the deceased three times, and was sent back by her father, who she described as the architect of her problem.

The US Department of Justice has successfully extradited six Nigerians from South Africa to face charges of running a series of scams against gullible Americans over the past 14 years. The six men, along with 14 other defendants resident in the US, face trial in Gulfport, Mississippi on nine federal charges, including conspiracy to commit identity theft, wire fraud, bank fraud, theft of US government funds, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Nigeria To Immortalize Rashidi Yekini


Nigeria is set to immortalize Super Eagles’ legend, Rashidi Yekini. Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer award will be named after the legend, the League Management Company has hinted. According to the chairman of the league organising body, Shehu Dikko, the move is to immortalize the fallen Super Eagles hero for his contribution to Nigeria football in his playing days. Yekini was also recently honoured in Portugal.

JAMB announces cut off marks for polytechnic and University admissions

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced the 2015 cutoff marks for both University and Polytechnic/Colleges of Education admissions. The cutoff mark for University admission is put at 180 while that of polytechnics and Colleges of Education admission is put at 150. JAMB registrar, Dibu Ojerinde, announced the cutoff marks at a press conference in Abuja today July 14th.

Osun civil servants suspend strike over unpaid salaries


Civil servants in Osun state have suspended their strike action. Announcing the suspension, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr. Jacob Adekomi said the decision to suspend the strike action came after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the state government and the state Labor Union. The state government had agreed to pay the January and February salaries owed the state workers and will pay the outstanding salaries when the state gets its own allocation from the bailout which was recently released by the federal government.
