Late Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson suffered a stroke and three heart attacks after a night of partying with younger women in Brazil - amid claims that he took three Viagra pills. The 87-year-old flew into the country two weeks ago for a pleasure trip set to include a $200,000-birthday blowout in his honor but ended up being rushed to hospital on the eve of the celebration.

281 victims rescued, 252 reunited with family between Jan. & June - NAPTIP

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and other Related Matters (NAPTIP) revealed its Lagos Zonal Office has rescued 281 persons trafficked between Jan. and July.

The agency further disclosed that it reunited 252 victims of human trafficking with their families after conducting a surveillance and investigation on their families. Commander, Lagos Zone, Mr. Joseph Famakin made these known in an interview on Tuesday in Lagos.

Photos: 4-year-old girl shot in the head in a drive-by shooting

 4 year old Martaisha Thomas, (left) was shot in the 700 block of Ridgeway Avenue in Avondale, Cincinnati last Thursday around 8:15 p.m in a drive-by shooting. She is in critical condition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and presently fighting for her life. According to the Cincinnati Police, the gunman (pictured right) Darnell Hicks, 20, was targeting someone in a group sitting outside the block but the little girl got hit. According to a news release from the police, Darnell is wanted for felonious assault in connection with the shooting. He's currently on the run.

Unknown murdered lady dumped at Olomore refuse dump has been identified as an alleged prostitute

Guess people have had enough...or can just see through the whole...whatever! Caitlyn Jenner's reality show, 'I Am Cait' is already suffering a ratings slump just two weeks after it debuted. According to Entertainment Weekly, last Sunday's show had only 1.3 million viewers, compared to the 2.7 million that tuned in to watch the show's premiere, this is all despite the amount of buzz that had surrounded Caitlyn. Maybe she should transition back to a man and start a reality show titled 'Becoming Bruce again' - that, I will definitely watch!

Borno elders demand apology from Jonathan over killing of state residents by Boko Haram

The Borno Elders Forum have demanded an apology from former President Jonathan over the death of Borno state residents during the various Boko Haram attacks under his administration.


The Elders in a statement signed by their chairman Amb. Usman Gaji Galtimari released today August 4th, said the recent remarks by immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh showed that the Nigerian military were not adequately equipped by the Johnathan Administration in the fight against Boko Haram.

A delegation of the United States Judicial Committee of the Congress has met with the officials of the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Service Chiefs as part of US efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries in tackling Boko Haram insurgency.

 This is as a follow up to President Buhari’s recent visit to United States of America. It will be recalled that based on allegation of human rights abuse leveled against Nigeria by the Human Rights Organization, the United States refused to sell ammunition to Nigerian Military as enshrined in Leahy law prohibiting her from providing military assistance to foreign countries guilty of violation of human rights with impunity.

Turai in surprise visit to OBJ
