“We Won’t Get Favours From Buhari By Attacking Him” – Igbo Group Tells Kinsmen

A pan Igbo socio-cultural organization, Igbo Renaissance Movement has advised leaders of the region to approach President Muhammadu Buhari with humility or lose any form of goodwill from the nation’s leader.

National Coordinator, Chris Chukwubuzor Azuka in a statement issued in Kano Sunday, described the attack on Buhari as ‘misplaced aggression’.

Man Molests 34-Year-Old Poor Widow To Death In Ebonyi

A 34-year-old widow and mother of four in Egwudunagu village, Amachi community in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Ogodo Egede has allegedly been defiled to death by one Alex Nwabu, a 40-year-old man in the area.

Nwabu, who allegedly committed the act in the deceased house in the night, was said to have been having constant affair with the widow with a threat to kill her if she dared disclose it to anyone.

Jonathan Spent 140 Billion As Consultancy Fee For 2nd Niger Bridge - Gov Oshiomole


Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole has alleged that a whooping N140bn was paid as consultancy fee for the construction of a second Niger bridge by the last administration. Oshiomhole  said this while reacting to insinuations that the Buhari led government was victimizing the Igbos because they did not vote for him. He said if at all there was any victimization, it was in the last administration.

If the competent hands come from one family and they will deliver to the nation so be it. Gunmen Abduct Monarch's Mother-In-Law In Ondo


Mrs Omogbene Adeborile, 65, mother-in-law to Oba Fredrick Obateru-Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugboland, has been abducted by gunmen in Igbotako in Ondo State. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that Adeborile was abducted on Saturday at her residence in Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State at about 10p.m.

18 year old dies after drunken punch in Malia

A gifted sportsman from a top public school died after an assault outside a club on Crete as he awaited his A-level results.

Archie Lloyd, 18, was punched in a drunken row in Malia,, a notorious party town in Greece and hit his head on the ground, Greek police confirmed.

After refusing treatment, he returned to his hotel by cab in the early hours, and was found dead by friends soon after.

The cause of the explosion which started the fire that was put out next day by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC was attributed to a scuffle between groups of vandals over ownership of a particular section of the NNPC owned pipeline, during which a shot fired by a member of the rival faction, hit the pipeline.
