What did we do to deserve comprehensive hatred of the Southeast people”, he asks rhetorically.

The Capitulation of “Grand Liban”

The Capitulation of “Grand Liban”

by Ghassan Kadi

“Grand Liban” or Grand Lebanon ie Lebanon in its current internationally-acknowledged state borders, is the love-child of France and a byproduct of the infamous Sykes-Picot Accord that decimated the Levant to first partition it between France and Britain, and to break it up further before granting it its independence.

The French pledged to their Lebanese cronies (who were primarily the heads of the Christian Maronite politics aka the “Maronite Political Entity”) that they will uphold the independence and sovereignty of Lebanon and guard it against any future take-over attempts by Syria. To this effect, Lebanese Muslims sarcastically refer to France as Lebanon’s “caring mother”.

Looters Will See Hell Soon - Buhari

‘Appointment of ministers in Sept stands’
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday vowed that plunderers of the nation’s treasury would see hell in days to come.

A statement issued by Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina on the president’s first 100 days in office promised what he called “lethal” shots at those “who bled our treasury to the point of death.”
“Some people say the sheriff [Buhari] did not hit the ground running, as he is yet to constitute his cabinet in 100 days. And I usually ask such people: when you hit the ground, and you land in mud, how do you begin to run immediately? You can only sink deeper, if you attempt to run. The thing to do is to first clear the mud, till you get to terra firma, and then you can begin to run.
“President Buhari has spent time trying to clean the Augean stables he inherited.

5 Bizarre Ways Being Single Is Hazardous To Your Health - Research

Try not to get excessively comfortable.

You have a decent life as a single person. You have an awesome social life, vocation and family. You appreciate every one of the advantages that come from being single. And all is great … until science raises its revolting head and close down all your positive sentiments about singledome.  There’s no more prominent buzzkill than science when you’ve at long last made peace with your single status. There’s no twofold that being single sucks, yet much more terrible, being single can be perilous, and here are 5 reasons why:

1. Married people and people in committed relationships have less health problems.

As per a study by the Journal of the International Association for Relationship Research, scientists found that compared to their wedded partners, single men and ladies have larger amounts of dejection, tension, inclination issue, conformity issues, self-destructive conduct and different types of mental misery. The study tried their hypothesis, that similar to wedded people, understudies in committed romantic relationships experience more noteworthy prosperity than single undergrads.

In a specimen of 1,621 understudies, people in a relationships experienced less psychological wellness issues and were less inclined to be overweight. Likewise, those in a committed relationship decreased dangerous results to a great extent through a lessening in s*xual accomplices, which thus decreased unsafe conduct. In any case, shouldn’t something be said about happy weight? I don’t know whether we need to construct anything in light of undergrads, as they live in their own kind of world.

2. People in relationships live longer.

In a study led by UCLA analyst Robert Kaplan, distributed in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community, Kaplan arrived at this conclusion: “Current marriage is connected with longer survival. Among the not wedded classes, having never been married was the most grounded indicator of unexpected death.”

Even more alarming, in this study he says that social segregation is a contributing element in death from heart illness. As such, dejection can kill your heart.

3. People in serious  relationships are happier.

Indeed, they know they’re healthier and are going to live more, so they have that going for them. However, what does science got to say?

A recent report from the UK’s Office for National Statistics entitled “Measuring National Well-Being: Our Relationships,” requested that members rate life fulfillment from 0 (not satisfied) to 10 (satisfied). While 58 percent of those reviewed who were in serious relationships (either wedded or cohabiting) reported high life fulfillment (either 9 or 10), 21 percent of single individuals reported the same.

4. Single individuals don’t stay asleep through the entire nigh.

I’m no researcher, however a considerable measure of wedded individuals and individuals seeing someone don’t stay asleep for the entire night, particularly on the off chance that they’re older and have different health issues that make them get up to go to the bathroom.

An article in the Wall Street Journal included the discoveries of Dr. Wendy M. Troxel, a collaborator teacher of psychiatry and brain science at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Troxel distributed a paper that asserted that ladies in long-term relationships had better sleeping examples than single ladies. One theory recommends that by promoting a feeling of safety and security, shared sleep in healthy relationships may lower levels of cortisol, a stress  hormone.

5. If you stay single too long, you’ll probably get divorced anyway.

Remember that study from Nicholas H. Wolfing that has everyone disturbed about how you have to get married before the age of 32; every year after that increases the chances of separation. Insofar as you’re glad and have a satisfying life, do whatever it takes not to worry about your relationship status. While science may lets us know that being single isn’t beneficial for us, stress isn’t useful for anyone.

If You Notice These 13 Symptoms, Do An HIV Test As Quickly as Possible.

HIV is a devastating illness that affects millions of people around the globe. HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. HIV may develop into AIDS, or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. The symptoms for HIV re varied and many people do not know they are infected until years after they acquired it.

HIV is spread through bodily fluids. The virus can pass through blood, Fluid, pre-Erupt, and vaginal fluid. It may also be spread to children through breast milk.

There are currently no cures for HIV, but scientists around the world are testing hopeful possibilities. To minimize your chances of contracting HIV, avoid blood to blood contact, and practice safe sex by using condoms and having your partners tested for HIV.

If you are worried about your risk of infection, get tested by a health care professional. HIV testing is quick, simple, and accurate.

Here are 13 of the signs and symptoms that may come with HIV infection.

1. Fever

If you have practiced unprotected sex, watch out for fevers as a symptom of HIV. Early after being infected by HIV, you may experience flu like symptoms. This can include a low grade fever that does not respond to medication. You may experience night sweats as a response to the fever. The fever is an inflammatory reaction to the virus entering your blood stream.

2. Sore Throat

Sore throat may be an early indicator of HIV infection. This may be an early symptom as the body reacts to the viral infection. It can also occur later in the disease as the infected individuals immune system becomes compromised. Sore throat may be caused by thrush in the mouth or esophagus, and ulcers. Chronic throat problems should be checked out by your family doctor.

3. Body Pain

Sore muscles and joint pain are common symptoms of HIV infection that occur in the early flu like phase. This can be caused by the swollen lymph nodes, or from rheumatic illnesses. Rheumatic disease affects the muscles and joints of the body, causing inflammation. This disease can lead to arthritis, fibromyalgia, and vasculitis. Some HIV medications can also cause these symptoms.

4. Cough

A dry, persistent cough can be a long term symptom of HIV infection. This symptom is not typically cured with medications like antibiotics and cough suppressants. Coughing may be an early symptom as the body reacts to the new virus. It is also a long term symptom caused by the damaged immune system. The cough may develop into pneumonia, which can be a serious symptom with dangerous effects.

5. Swollen Lymph Nodes

Swollen lymph nodes may be a starting sign of HIV infection. 67% of HIV sufferers may experience some sort of lymph node swelling. This commonly occurs in the neck, under arms, and groin region. Lymph nodes are distributed all throughout the body so any abnormal swelling could be a symptom. Lymph nodes swell as the immune system is activated and the body fights off infection.

6. Headaches

One of the first symptoms of the flu related symptoms of HIV is an unrelenting headache. The headaches may develop into chronic debilitating migraines. Migraines become chronic after affecting a person for 15 or more days per month. 50% of people infected with HIV will experience headaches as a symptom, while 27% will experience chronic migraines. This is compared to the general population, where only 2% of people suffer from chronic migraines.

7. Weight Loss

Weight loss in HIV infected individuals is common through the progression of the disease. When first infected, the flu like symptoms can cause nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. This can cause a temporary loss in weight. As the illness progresses, weight loss can be caused by a condition called “AIDS wasting”. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services categorize a person as having AIDS wasting when they have lost 10% or more of their body weight, and have experienced related weight loss symptoms for a period greater than 30 days.

8. Yeast Infection

As HIV develops, the infected persons immune system becomes compromised. One of the starting symptoms of a failing immune system is bodily infections. Yeast infections are very common, and they affect more than just women. The cause of this infection is a fungus called Candida. It can affect the body in different ways, such as vaginal yeast infections, thrush, intestinal infections, and more. Getting rid of these infections may prove futile until HIV medication is in place.

9. Fatigue

Fatigue associated with HIV may be the most under-reported symptom. Many people suffer from chronic fatigue but do not realize it is a medical condition. Chronic fatigue is tiredness that cannot be alleviated with rest. Fatigue is first reported in the flu like symptoms that accompany the early stages of HIV. Once this phase is complete, fatigue may not appear until AIDS develops.

10. Skin Rash

Skin rash is one of the most common symptoms of HIV. Called the “HIV rash”, this symptom can be seen is approximately 85% of cases. The rash may develop into blisters at the warm moist areas of the body, including genitals and facial regions. Most rashes develop on the trunk of the body. The appearance of the rash is red bumps that may itch and peel.

11. Night Sweats

As the HIV infection develops in the body, flu like symptoms can appear. One of the most annoying and notable symptoms is night sweats. The sufferer may go to bed at a good temperature, but through the night may experience widely ranging body temperatures, going from very cold to very hot quite quickly. The physical response of the body is to pour sweat to regulate the temperature. The person may wake up soaking wet and have to change their sheets and clothing.

12. Cold Sores

Cold sores can be a symptom of HIV. Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. It can occur as genital, rectal, or oral herpes. Anyone can be infected with herpes, regardless of their HIV status. Those who are infected with HIV and have cold sores may suffer from recurrent outbreaks of the herpes virus.

13. None

The most dangerous symptom of HIV is having none at all. Many of those infected do not know they are. This can be particularly dangerous as the person may continue to have unprotected sex, potentially spreading the disease. In 2001, it is estimated that less than 1% of the popular has been tested for HIV. In South Africa, is is estimated that over 5 million people are infected. If you think you are at risk for HIV, get tested right away.
