The US House of Representatives has voted to grant the Pentagon its request for $3.4 billion military funding for Europe, thanks to spurious claims of Russian aggression.
On Wednesday the US House of Representatives voted 277-147 to pass the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, which authorizes the Pentagon to spend $610 billion next year.
The bill, which is still subject to approval from the US President, includes $3.4 billion for military forces in Europe.
