Woman poisons her day-old stepson due to her inability to give birth to a male child
25-year-old Bilkisu Adamu Isah, said to be a second wife, has been arrested for trying to kill a two-hour old baby boy in Kopa village, Niger State, NewTelegraph reports. She was alleged to have committed the offence at about 7am on Wednesday.

This has been an amazing week which saw the first clear sign of the collapse of the EU and Turkish President Erdogan presenting his excuses to Russia for the downing of a Russian SU-24 over Syria 7 month ago. While the latter event was largely eclipsed by the former, it might be the sign of something even more dramatic taking place: the collapse of Turkey.

A Nigerian man popularly known as Otto was yesterday stoned to death in Togo.
Otto who lived in Dakar Senegal before relocating to Togo allegedly got his Togolese girlfriend pregnant and they had a little mis-understanding. His girlfriend apparently got pissed and mobilized her brothers who descended on Otto, stripped him naked and stoned him to death for not controlling his manhood and getting their sister pregnant. That's the girl in the photo above, peep photos of Otoo naked as he took his last breaths when you continue.

Buhari Pays N2.6bn To 638 Youwin Awardees
Federal Government has paid the sum of N1.6bn to 638 awardees of the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria, YouWin, programme, an initiative of the past government.
There have been fears about the government of President Muhammadu Buhari scrapping the programme, with series of protests over the delay in grants.
But Na’inna Dambatta, director of information at the ministry of information, said the money was paid in June.
He said under the programme which took off in 2011, a total of 18, 000 young entrepreneurs were trained in management and business skills for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The White House and U.S. Department of State declined to comment on reports that weapons shipped into Jordan by the Central Intelligence Agency for Syrian rebels have been sold on the black market.
