Photos: Federal High court Abuja frees alleged Nyanya bomber

A Federal High court sitting in Abuja has freed Aminu Oguche, the associated brains behind Nyanya bomb impact which murdered around 70 individuals in April.

As indicated by the News Agency of Nigeria, the court in its administering, rejected the two counts terrorism charges brought as a detriment to him and freed him over absence of determined indictment by the state. Violated - A victim’s rape story

Mrs. Abidemi Ronke Ekanem who was assaulted as a growing child experienced brutal rape at the tender age of 19 in the year 2001.  Thirteen years after, now 32 years old and married, she is still full of fury. Her anger stems from the brutality and frequency of rape cases which is not helped by the erroneous societal notions that leave the victims suffering alone in silence. This led her to found a Non-Governmental Organisation which she named End Rape and Sexual Abuse (ERSA).

Lucky Igbinedion's daughter, Ehi, set to tie the knot.

One of the little girls of previous Edo state Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, Ehi, will be getting hitched to her man, Femi Oni on December eighteenth and twentieth in Edo state.

Ehi and Femi, who are both medical specialists, had their engagement at the home of her granddad, the Esama of Benin in Abuja on Monday November seventeenth.

Actor and photographer Lance Gross and his fiancee Rebecca Jefferson welcomed their first child together, a child girl – on November 20th.

Lance posted a lovely black and white photo of his daughter clutching his hands, yesterday announcing her birth and name – Berkeley Brynn Gross. Meanwhile, before Rebecca gave birth, she posed nude with her huge tummy on with her man.  See pics bellow.

Federal Government bans the use of phones in Nigerian prisons

After the recent prison break in some Nigerian jails lately, the Federal govt today banned the utilization of telephones by both detainees and jail authorities inside the jail premises.

The boycott was affirmed by Minister of Interior Affairs, Abba Moro while talking with some senior jail authorities in Abuja.

“I have visited some prisons in other countries as the Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Nobody, no matter how highly placed you are, you don’t come to prison with your phones, not even the minister of Interior as the supervising minister over the prisons. So, why are you an exception?. Henceforth, no matter who you are including myself, nobody goes into prison with telephones.”

And so, as you are going from here, create a meeting platform where all the officers that work in the prisons as they walk into prisons, they submit their phones and collect them when they close.”

The Minister also directed that all the phones on all inmates should be confiscated withing 30 days.

Many market men and women are feared dead after Boko Haram militants disguised as traders attacked a market in Damasak town in the Mobar Local government part of Borno state this morning.


In accordance with reports, the sect members arrived the fishing and farming community around 11am, moved into the midst of the marketplace and opened fire on unsuspecting buyers and sellers.  More Details later
