You Can’t Stop Tribunal, S-Court Tells Wike

ABUJA — Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, yesterday, lost his bid to use the Supreme Court to oust the judgment of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that sacked him from office last week Saturday.
This happened as 20 members of Rivers State House of Assembly whose election was nullified by the state legislative election petition tribunal, appealed against the judgment.
Wike had gone before the apex court to challenge the jurisdiction and competence of the tribunal to conduct hearing on the petition filed against his election by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, outside Rivers State where the said election held.

Herdsmen Turn National Stadium , Abuja To Grazing Reserve

Itinerant herdsmen have invaded the $300 million National Stadium Complex in Abuja, turning it into a grazing reserve for their cattle. This is in spite of an existing order prohibiting open grazing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), an order the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) is empowered to enforce.

The herdsmen, who usually invade the stadium in groups to feed their cattle, sometimes overwhelm the stadium security officials who try to stop them from their activities, especially at the Package B section of the stadium.

EXPOSED: President Jonathan’s $500m Poultry Farm In Abuja; Obj Implicated

Despite moves to improve his sliding campaign fortunes, President Goodluck Jonathan is battling to explain all he knows about a multi- million dollar farm which a non – governmental organisation (NGO) says belongs to him in alleged violation of the 1999 Constitution.

But a pro-Jonathan group, New Generation Coalition says the constitution allows a public officer to engage in farming. It also alleged that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo also benefited from Abuja-Land -For-Farms grab while in office to engage in farming.

According to an NGO , Purpose Driven Initiative (PDI), the farm was incorporated on December 30, 2011 barely seven months after he was sworn in as president for his current tenure which he wants Nigerians to renew.

The farm is about 94,04 hectare plot of land along the highway leading to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Army Colonel Abducted In Kaduna

A Senior Army Officer, Col. Samaila Inusa was on Saturday reportedly kidnapped around the Kamazo area in Chikun Local Government of Kaduna State by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
The Army Colonel, who was said to be serving with the Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji, near Kaduna State, was in the company of his wife when the incident occurred.
It was gathered that the kidnappers dropped off the wife and left with the senior military officer, headed towards Abuja.
No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction of the senior military officer as of the time of filing this report.

University Of Abuja Student, Afoke, Killed By Hit and Run Driver

A lady student of the University of Abuja, identified simply as Afoke and pictured above, lost her life two hours ago after she was hit with a car facing the permanent site along Airport road.

Based on eyewitness reports, the accident was consequently of the hit and run car being on top speed and insufficient speed bumps facing the campus. Afoke had died immediately and at this time, barely 10 hours after her last tweet on earth, her remains have been in a mortuary. Her project defence was even today. Davido replies Pregnant Abuja Runsbabe Rumour, Demands For DNA

While we were still wanting to get over the shock news of Chris Brown’s secret baby along with his side chick, a written report went viral that Davido was about to be a father at the tender age of 22.


The unconfirmed report was revealed by a Nigerian tabloid called National Enquirer which wrote,

Davido and Sophie, an Abuja based university drop-out kicked off their affair around July 2014 after she was offered since the ‘soul-calmer’for the night time during one of his true trips to the prestigious Transcorp Hilton hotel, Abuja. The partnership between Davido and Belladona, as she’s popularly known, we further obtained, started getting serious around early September 2014 although his HKN gang never supported it. This is  a girl that is recognized as a big style runs girl in the entire of Abuja, she and her friends Harriet and Rockxy have slept with nearly all the big boys and politicians in Abuja, so Shina Rambo and the remaining gang know her story and cannot be happy she is currently claiming to be pregnant for Davido.

So some tips about what happened following the alleged pregnancy news broke, NETNG reached out to Davido’s camp and his people confirmed that yes, there clearly was a se-xual relationship between Davido and Sophie.

The HKN rep said,

People like to talk, the fact that the girl is pregnant doesn’t mean that Davido is the one responsible. Anyways, we both know it’s not today that we’ve been having all this pregnancy allegations for Davido. The truth is Davido sure knows the girl, but they are not as close as they used to be so I really can’t tell, and if she comes tomorrow and says Davido is the father of her baby or Davido got her pregnant then we’ll demand a DNA test.

 

You see how they played that, its not an outright denial that the unborn tyke could be his. I figure we would need to lay low to see what comes up next!

Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim bail of N270 million in a N270 million fraud case which he is standing trial for. The former governor was arraigned over a N270 million fraud he allegedly committed in 2008 while he was governor.

Magu Slammed With Contempt Charge.

A contempt charge has been filed against Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), at an Abuja high court over his alleged disobedience of court order.
The contempt charge contained on form 49 of the Abuja high court is asking Magu to show cause why he should not be committed to prison.

The contempt charge followed the refusal of the EFCC to obey an order issued by Justice Peter Affen of the Abuja high court regarding the unlawful arrest and detention of an Austrian security expert, Wolgang Reinl.

Abuja Bombings: PDP Wants SSS Director General, Daura, Fired

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently overhaul Nigeria’s intelligence agencies in the aftermath of Friday’s multiple bombings in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the party’s acting national chairman, Uche Secondus, the party said on Monday that it noted with deep sadness and concern the resurgence of terrorism and renewed attacks on Abuja.


The attack killed at least 15 people.
The statement reads in part:
“That the Abuja coordinated attacks came just as the nation was already celebrating the success of our security forces in their efforts to rout terrorists, indicates either a fact of dereliction of duty or sabotage against the anti-terrorism fight.

I know with work and different engagements it is just about outlandish not to have somebody to help with the children yet verify its somebody you can trust with the lives of your youngsters. A month ago, we all viewed with dismay as an Ugandan house keeper battered a 2 year old young lady.

This week we caught wind of the cleaning specialist who took two youngsters from their home in Lagos after a couple of weeks of working with the family.  Also I simply found out about a house keeper in Abuja who strangled a 3 year old young lady as of late only on the grounds that the young lady’s mum let her know she couldn’t make a trip to her town for Christmas.

The disillusioned servant was said to have executed the young lady in displeasure on the grounds that the young lady’s mother had demanded she needed to stay in Abuja to take care of the youngster. It would be ideal if you moms, be less reckless.

In the 21st century some people still believe in this witch-witch thing (#Story4TheGods). If we don’t have explanation for something, I think there’s no point propagating the matter!

Based on eyewitnesses, a naked woman/alleged witch was seen stranded on the roof of a church, the All Christian Fellowship church, right before Kubwa village market around 6:30 this morning. A sizable crowd obviously gathered and managed to bring her down. When she was brought down, they said she was naked, wretched looking, unkempt hair, skinny and was talking non stop. Some individuals in the crowd recognized her being an akara seller in the area. They dragged her to the Kubwa Phase 4 police station where she’s currently being detained.

Nigeria: Aggrieved Client Slams First City Group

Abuja based businessman Mr. Washington Agbons Umweni, who allegedly went into business with Dubai property marketing company, The First City Group, has accused the company of defrauding him of the sum of N9.8 million.

This is even as The First City Group Through its lawyer, Mr. Ismail Muftau, has insisted that the relationship between The First Group and Umweni is founded on a contract which is governed by a Sales Purchase Agreement (SPA), signed by both parties and that the said sales purchase agreement shall only be governed and or construed by, in accordance with the Federal Laws of the United Arab Emirate and that it is only the courts of Dubai that shall have absolute jurisdiction to entertain any dispute or issues arising from that contract.

Overland airplane from Abuja crash-lands in Ilorin

An Overland plane conveying 59 travelers and 4 crew members crash land this night Saturday November 29th in Ilorin, Kwara state. The plane, originating from Abuja, was said to have overshot the runway after it arrived.

The following is an announcement from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, about the occurrence

“An Overland flight 1186, an ATR 72 aircraft with Registration number 5N-BPG from Abuja airport to Ilorin, carrying fifty nine passengers and four crew members,veered off the runway at low speed after a normal landing at the Ilorin Airport. The incident which occurred today Saturday, November 29, at 4.45pm, has no casualty recorded. However, the Accident and Prevention Bureau in conjunction with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has begun an investigation into the cause of the incident. The authority wishes to use this medium to reassure Nigerians that safety of the traveling public is still paramount and cannot be compromised.” the statement read…

Taraba Tribunal judgement ridiculous, It can't stand before men & God - Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the tribunal judgement sacking the Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku as a ridiculous political judgement that can never stand before men of good conscience and God.

Governor Fayose, who maintained that there was a conspiracy by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government and a section of the judiciary against the People's Democratic Party (PDP), called on the Supreme Court to save the country from impending anarchy.

Federal Government Approves ₦273m for Feasibility Study of Abuja Rail Project

The Federal Executive Council led by President Goodluck Jonathan approved a honor of agreement for the attainability study and theoretical configuration of the Abuja Rail Mass Transit system.


State House Correspondents after the board gathering, Supervising Minister of Information Dr. Nurudeen Muhammed unveiled parcels 4, 5 and 6 of the rail undertaking were honored in the total N272.7m with a finish time of one year. The data minister further noted financing for the agreement would be sourced from a procurement of N280million in the 2014 FCT Statutory Appropriation for the undertaking.

“The FCT Rail Mass Transit system is designed primarily as a mover of people within and between the satellite towns and the different phases of the city. Also, the Abuja rail system will be integrated with the planned national rail network. The projects upon completion will reduce traffic congestion, shorten journeys distances and reduce pressure on existing public transport services. The project will also provide employment opportunities to about 5,000 skilled and unskilled workers while about 4,500 skilled workers will be engaged in the direct operation of the system on completion,” the minister stated.

The FCT Minister Senator Bala Mohammed was likewise at the briefing and clarified further that Lot 4 of the rail framework is from Kuje to Karshi, Lot 5 from Kubwa to Bwari and Lot 6 from Airport to Gwagwalada. As per him, Lot 2 of the rail framework will pass on travelers from downtown area to Kubwa in Bwari Area Council.
