Briton Ogwuche or DSS The Terrorist?

Is The Briton Ogwuche A Terrorist Or Is The DSS The Terrorist?

briton

Nigerians need to know the response to this question; and quick. Is the alleged terror suspect in the April fourteenth Nyanya transport park bombing, Aminu Ogwuche, who was freely removed from Sudan in a show of government org “proficiency” in catching the “suspects” behind the dread assault that disgraced Nigeria at the time of the global Abuja summit, truly a terrorist or would it say it was all essentially a messy trick to make the Jonathan organization look great even with worldwide eyewitnesses?

El-Rufai extravagance Bus park, Nyanya, Abuja was besieged on April fourteenth of 2014 in a solitary day dread episode that prompted 75 dead. It was the most fatal episode of dread up till the Kano #redfriday Central Mosque terror assault November 28th. Immediately after the Nyanya assault, the erstwhile inefficient Department of State Security, DSS that has always neglected to catch dread suspects and geniuses behind the  huge number of occasions around the country for as long as five years, caught and paraded 5 suspects and proclaimed two others, Rufai Abubakar Tsiga (a.k.a. Dr. Tsiga) and Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, wanted.

Before the end of April, less than 2 weeks after the Nyanya bombarding and around 10 days prior to the beginning of the World Economic Forum in Abuja (May 7-9), the Nigerian Orientation office began making all these publications of their achievement in “unwinding” and capturing those behind the Nyanya besieging. Actually, it was a show of good proficiency and practically made the Nigerian security office look strong.

Aminu Ogwuche from Orokam, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, was made to show up like he had fled to Sudan; on the other hand he goes to class there and is an understudy of Arabic Language at the International University of Africa in Sudan. This was potentially why he was in Sudan; yet his association with Boko Haram and his part in the Abuja, Nyanya bombarding has yet to be characterized.

Aminu Ogwuche is not a every-day Joe. The Briton is a young person of one of a kind. Bornin the UK to an armed force father, Col. Agene Ogwuche, Aminu was in the Nigerian armed force till 2007 when he abandoned. He goes as far and wide as possible without restraint and was captured in 2011 on November twelfth at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on landing from the United Kingdom on suspected fear related exercises yet was suspiciously bail on discharged October fifteenth of the following year to his armed force father.

Why was Owuche discharged in 2012? Why was Owuche captured in 2011? What were his charges and the evidence against him then? What has been the consequence of that investigation? Why and what does Ogwuche go to do in the United Kingdom? Does he have associations with remote spy and insights offices? Where has Ogwuche been to since his past capture? How frequently has he gone to nations likt the UK, USA and France? Why is Ogwuche constantly smooth and ready to escape sentencing as the same framework that discharged him awhile ago is again situated to rehash? Is Ogwuche for sure a fear driving force who works openly and with exemption from/under the Jonathan-headed government?

Also if Ogwuche unexpectedly, is not a terror chief and fearterror mastermind, then why did the Department of State Security have him blamed and extradited him?? In most recent advancements, Ogwuche has requested N100 million in recompense for “unlawful” detainment without charge for the 3 months since his July 15 removal; and the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF has been summoned. The ongoing is not just a let-down and perilous humiliation to the Department of State and ONSA (Dasuki’s office) yet to all Nigerians.

Nigerians are not fulfilled. Who is the terrorist? Ogwuche or the DSS? We have to see the culprits obviously characterized, arraigned and sentenced to death. The time it now, time for brains behind terror to endure and kick the bucket as do the “unimportant” masses. We have had enough exemption and Security office mistake and fear for a really long time; somebody must be considered answerable.

Individuals are biting the dust and we are losing region and employment as the country’s north is in effect completely and irreversibly destroyed. Will we have a few earnestness here? Heads must roll!

NDLEA Arrests Man With N48m Cash, Nabs another with 79 bags of weed in Abuja

The anti-narcotic officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), who were on a routine patrol on Monday along the Abaji-Abuja Expressway, had arrested one John Okafor for being in possession of N48m cash.

DAILPOST gathered that the 25-year-old man was reportedly one of the passengers of a commercial bus coming from Onitsha, Anambra State.

Following his arrest, Okafor maintained that the money belonged to an unidentified Bureau de Change firm in Onitsha. He claimed he was an employee of the firm and he was heading for the foreign exchange market in the Federal Capital Territory to convert the sum to dollars when he was arrested.

“I work for a Bureau de Change in Onitsha. I was asked to purchase dollars at the foreign exchange market in Abuja with the money. When we got to Abaji, our vehicle was searched and the money was found. That is all I know.”

Reports also reveal that that a drug dealer, Chukuka Ugbai, was arrested with 79 bags of weed, confirmed to have tested positive for cannabis, in Bako village in the Kwali Area Council, Abuja during the same patrol.

The drug which weighed 817 kilogrammes was found in his warehouse.

Ugbai had allegedly owned up to being an illicit drug dealer but expressed shock at how the NDLEA operatives were able to trail him to his residence.

He said, “I sell cannabis to take care of my family and pay my children’s school fees. I was not lucky enough because I don’t know how they detected my cannabis warehouse. The officers found 79 bags of cannabis in my store.”

The commander of the NDLEA, Mrs. Chinyere Obijuru, confirmed the two arrests in a statement in Abuja.

She said, “Okafor was on board a commercial bus from Onitsha in Anambra State when N48, 450,000 was found in a brown carton concealed in a sack. He also had in his possession, 86,500 CFA.

“He claimed that the money belongs to a Bureau de Change at Onitsha. He is suspected to be engaging in money laundering and will be transferred to the EFCC for further investigation.”

Chinyere further confirmed that Ugbai was arrested at Bako village in the Kwali Area Council following the discovery of his cannabis warehouse.

“Okafor would be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigation, while Ugbai would be charged to court for unlawful possession of cannabis,” the NDLEA commander noted.

The NDLEA Chairman, Ahmadu Giade, said the agency would continue to clamp down on drug traffickers and urged the public to comply with the provisions of the anti-money laundering act.

REVEALED: How President Jonathan's Supporters Planned To Kidnap Jega Using Orubebe

This is coming from one of  the most foreign news agencies in the world , Reuters .
Godsday-Orubebe

Read their report below :

As Muhammadu Buhari closed in on Nigeria’s presidency, an aide to election commission chairman Attahiru Jega sent a text message to an independent voting monitor, warning of an imminent threat to the electoral process.

The aide had unearthed a plot by supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan to disrupt the public announcement of the national election results and kidnap Jega in a bid to wreck the count, according to pro-democracy advocates and a Nigeria-based diplomat.

Central to the plan, they said, were Jega’s security detail and Godsday Orubebe, a former cabinet minister from Jonathan’s Niger Delta, an area whose leaders feared a change of power would mean an end to the perks it enjoyed under Jonathan’s presidency.

Orubebe’s role was to cause a disturbance at the headquarters of the commission as cover for the abduction of Jega. Orubebe did not respond to requests for comment on the details of the plot.

The commission, called INEC, also declined to comment and turned down requests for an interview with Jega, whom Reuters was unable to reach independently. Reuters found no evidence to suggest that Jonathan, who conceded defeat in the election, was involved. His spokesman and his party, the PDP, did not respond to requests for comment.

While the plot would likely not have changed the result, it could have unleashed fury among Buhari supporters in the north, where 800 people were killed in rioting after his last election defeat in 2011.

But the plot’s failure enabled Africa’s most populous country to complete its first credible vote since independence in 1960.

“NIGERIA ON TRIAL”

The plot to derail the election in its closing moments was pieced together by Reuters from the text message, events on the ground and interviews with democracy advocates and diplomats in the capital, Abuja.

When he sent the SMS, the election official, whom the sources declined to name for his own protection, hoped the outside world would hear of the plot, the text of the message made clear.

“Fellow countrymen, Nigeria on Trial,” read the SMS sent on the morning of March 31 to Clement Nwankwo, head of the Situation Room, an Abuja-based coalition of human rights groups and democracy advocates monitoring the polls. Reuters later saw the SMS.

“Plans are on storm [sic] the podium at the ICC Collation Centre and disrupt the process,” it continued, the official dropping words and letters in his haste.

“Nobody is sue [sic] what will happen. Please share this as widely as possible.”

At that moment, INEC chairman Jega was about to preside over the announcement of results.

TALLY COUNT

Since the end of army rule in 1999, all four previous votes had been marred by violence and ballot-rigging.

The 2015 poll was different in two crucial aspects.

It was a genuine race, pitting Jonathan, saddled with an ailing economy and an Islamist insurgency, against a former general promising to get tough on corruption and the Boko Haram insurgents.

Voters had also been given biometric ID cards linked to their photographs and fingerprints, making it hard to inflate voter numbers significantly.

As tallies from around the country showed Buhari on course for a win, unidentified PDP hard-liners started to panic, seeking ways of manipulating the count, Nwankwo and the diplomat said, citing political contacts in the Delta and Abuja.

Realising they could not engineer an outright win, PDP agents set about doctoring the tally at collation centres in pro-Jonathan areas to ensure Buhari failed to meet a requirement for 25 percent support in two thirds of states, Nwankwo said, citing reports from election monitors on the ground.

A Reuters reporter witnessed and photographed one tally list in Port Harcourt with suspiciously similar totals for registered voters at polling stations: 500, 500, 500, 500, 500, 500, 500, 500, 450. In another tally centre in the city, 17,594 valid votes were recorded out of a registered voter population of 11,757, the Reuters reporter said.

Foreign election observers also noted the peculiarities – and contacted diplomats in Abuja who called in international intervention.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his British counterpart Philip Hammond – in Switzerland for talks on Iran – issued a tough statement saying vote counting “may be subject to deliberate political interference”.

“CREATE A FRACAS”

But as Buhari’s lead grew, some PDP supporters from the Delta, including Orubebe, decided on a final gamble: to create a disturbance in the main INEC hall and have thugs snatch Jega from the stage, according to Nwankwo and the Abuja-based diplomat.

What the group planned to do after the abduction is unclear, the diplomat and Nwankwo said, but the confusion could have triggered nationwide violence.

“It was a desperate thing, mostly by a group of people from the Niger Delta who were in the room,” Nwankwo said, describing events that unfolded publicly in the minutes after he received the SMS.

When Jega opened proceedings on the morning of March 31, Orubebe, the former Niger Delta minister, grabbed a microphone and launched into an 11-minute tirade accusing Jega of bias.

“Mr. Chairman, we have lost confidence in you,” he shouted, pushing away officials trying to make him surrender the microphone. “You are being very, very selective. You are partial,” he continued, surrounded by three or four supporters. “You are tribalistic. We cannot take it.”

Nigerians watched, aghast, on live television.

Meanwhile, Jega’s security detail was approached by unidentified individuals telling them to stand down, according to Nwankwo and the diplomat.

But the bodyguards refused.

“Some of the guards who had been guarding Jega for years demanded a written order,” Nwankwo said. “But it didn’t exist.”

Jega then rebuked Orubebe: “Let us not disrupt a process that has ended peacefully,” he said as Orubebe slumped in his chair.

“Mr. Orubebe, you are a former minister of the Federal Republic. You are a statesman in your own right. You should be careful about what you say or about what allegations you make,” he said.

Later, Orubebe congratulated Buhari on Twitter, expressing his “apologies to fellow Nigerians”.

Part 3: update:$27Million Saga: Senate Never Approved OBJ,GEJ To Purchase And Disburse Nigerian Real Property Qualities In U.S.--Reports

 Part 1, Part 2

Learn more on the $27Million missing Real Estate properties in United States beneath:   New York[RR] ABUJA--Update: Missing $27M: Adefuye, Ashiru, Ogwu And Cronies Sweating Over Looted $27Million Real-Estate Funds, As Senate Investigates, Republic Reporters has learnt. In accordance with Vanguard, investigation to the alleged misappropriation of $27 million realized from the sale of prime properties belonging to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC and Maryland in the United States of America (USA), is Onn.  It said: "The probe is being handled by Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs chaired by James Manager (PDP Delta South). The funds were said to be proceeds that accrued from the properties sold between 2004 and 2007.

"Almost immediately, the embassy also allegedly began another sale of a fifth property located in San Francisco, California also in the USA. The embezzlement allegation was found in a three-page petition to Senate President, David Mark, and dated January 21 by an anti-corruption body located in Nigeria – Transform Nigeria Movement. Embattled Nigerian Ambassador to the United States Ade Adefuye, said hours ago: "I have no turn in the missing $23.5Million, I met only $10Million in in account", he said. He said alleged missing $27Million accrued from Real Estate property sales in the United States between 2004 and 2007, is false, "I met $23.5Million..",

when i resumed office, President Jonathan authorized us to utilize the $10Million left for necessary restructuring at the Embassy, in the U.S, without explaining what restructuring took place at Nigerian Embassy in the United States..", he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Professor Joy Ogwu, has disassociated herself from the looted Real Estate funds, that went missing between 2007 to 2012, when it absolutely was revealed the funds placed into special account at Manufacturing And Trading Bank (M & T Bank) in Washington,DC was drawn down with less than 400,000.00 dollars left in the account when it absolutely was closed down by United States banking industry as a result of "money laundering", by Nigerian diplomatic officials at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, DC, United States.  Ms. Ogwu told reporters, She: "Had to clarify the situation to douse what she called “malicious misinformation” making the rounds in the media. She spoke against the background of  her invitation by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs investigating the alleged embezzlement of 23.5 million dollars from the Nigerian embassy in Washington D.C. The funds were considered arises from the sale of three Federal Government houses in Washington D.C. between 2004-2007.

She however, acknowledged that the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs invited her in link with a petition concerning misappropriation and embezzlement of funds by the Nigerian ambassador to the U.S. and others. Based on the former envoy, she appeared prior to the senate on June 27 and categorically emphasised that she neither received any request nor granted authorisation to any ambassador concerning the sale of Nigerian properties in Washington D.C.“Indeed, projects of such enormity are traditionally for the consideration of the Federal Executive Council.“It's very instructive to note that I was not invited to the Senate within my present capacity as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the UN, because I'm not under trial.

“I was invited within my capacity as former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and the  property and the attendant proceeds come in Washington D.C and I've absolutely nothing regarding it.”She observed that she have been erroneously portrayed as having appeared prior to the Senate in her capacity as Nigeria's Permanent Representative at the UN.Ms. Ogwu fumed that: “Some reports have even labelled me as a former Nigeria ambassador to the U.S., who succeeded Prof.

George Obiozor.“That's wrong because I haven't been Nigerian Ambassador to the U.S,” she stressed. "In a letter dated June 10, I was invited by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs on a petition concerning misappropriation and embezzlement of funds by the Nigerian ambassador to the U.S. and others. "Paragraph two of the letter states that I'm invited to the meeting within my capacity as former foreign affairs minister 2006-2007. "In my testimony prior to the senate committee on June 27, it absolutely was categorically emphasised that I neither received any request nor granted authorisation to any ambassador concerning the sale of Nigerian properties in Washington D.C.

"Indeed, projects of such enormity are traditionally for the consideration of the Federal Executive Council." "It is very instructive to see that I wasn't invited to the Senate in my own present capacity as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the UN, because I'm not under trial. "I was invited in my own capacity as former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and the  property and the attendant proceeds are in Washington D.C and I have absolutely nothing regarding it." The former minister noted that the clarification became pertinent following what she called "malicious misinformation" making the rounds in the media. She observed that she have been erroneously portrayed as having appeared prior to the Senate in her capacity as Nigeria's Permanent Representative at the UN.

"Some reports have even labelled me as a former Nigeria ambassador to the U.S., who succeeded Prof. George Obiozor. "That's wrong because I haven't been Nigerian Ambassador to the U.S," she stressed. -  In another front, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Olugbenga Ashiru, curiously stated that $27 Million or $23.5million wasn't missing at the Nigerian Embassy in the United States, without giving details. Ashiru, who had been visibly sweating in Abuja heat told reporters in FCT-Abuja. said the sale of Federal "Government property in Washington DC was duly authorised by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, but may not explain how the funds were interested in significantly less than $400,000.00 as M & T Bank closes the Special accounts on allegations of fraud and multiple money laundries. In the statement he explained: “The eye of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been interested in the above-mentioned allegation as carried in most national newspapers of Friday, June 28, 2013.

“The newspapers reported a public hearing conducted by the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, where Nigeria's former Ambassador to the United States, Prof. George Obiozor, Nigeria's current Ambassador to the same Mission, Prof. Ade Adefuye, and Nigeria's current Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Prof. Joy Ogwu appeared. “The Committee was meeting to investigate allegations of the embezzlement of $27 million, being arises from the sale of Federal Government properties in Washington DC. The Ministry, however, wishes to share with the general public as follows:That monies involved in the sale of Federal Government properties were duly and completely accounted for..

." he said, but by who? Embattled Ambassador Adefuye was reportedly left his Ambassadorial post in Washington,DC, and was "virtually sleeping at EFCC's office FCT-Abuja", anonymous FCT-Abuja eyewitnesses told Republic Reporters. Ashiru added: ""The human body requested the Senate to probe how the said funds disappeared between 2004 and 2007."During the sale of the properties, the Nigerian government, through the embassy in Washington, engaged the services of ECULAW Law firm which handled the sales and lodged the proceeds with respect to the embassy in to a special account with the Washington DC based M & T Bank. The bank was speculated to be holding deposits of huge proceeds from the property sales until George Obiozor who was then Nigeria's Ambassador to the U.S. returned to Nigeria after completing his service in Washington.

The funds which allegedly yielded substantial monthly curiosity about the M & T Bank remained in the special accounts throughout the tenure of Obiozor's successor, Oluwole Rotimi. Daily Independent newspaper reported that the petitioners said: the funds “mysteriously disappeared” once the incumbent envoy, Adebowale Adefuye, took over from Rotimi, who was fired by late Yar'Adua for insubordination to then Foreign Affairs Minister Ojo Maduekwe, whom he called "Biafran Ragtag, he defeated during Biafran-Nigerian hostilities between 1967 to 1970.

The disappearance of the funds, based on the petition, became evident when M & T Bank was forced to turn off the accounts of the embassy and subsequently terminated all banking relations with the embassy in early 2012. According to the petition, all the three accounts owned by the Nigerian Embassy in the custody of M & T Bank, like the $27 million proceeds from property sales were allegedly drawn right down to barely $400,000 at the time the accounts were closed. Since March 2012, there has not been any explanation of the whereabouts of the money that was alleged to stay the lender at the time Adefuye assumed office as Nigeria's envoy.

In 2009, about $3 million realised from a similar transaction was directly used on the purchase of a house in Russia. The National Assembly reportedly held a public hearing about the misapplied funds. "The petitioners are worried that the Federal Government hasn't done anything to trace the funds before anti-corruption body allegedly petitioned the Senate. Even Adefuye who is thought to will be in Abuja for quite a long time before time for Washington recently, was allegedly not quizzed by government or the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The group, therefore, urged the Senate to investigate the case with a view to recovering the missing funds. Senate also at plenary on Thursday approved the nomination of Emmanuel Adegboyega Aremo as new Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Meanwhile, key witness to the sales of the Real Estate property Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye a US-based lawyer during whose tenure since the Emassy's attorney the said $27 million was realized from property sales, is scheduled to testify prior to the Nigerian Senate Committee investigating the looted funds tomorrow, Monday, July 1, 2013, prior to the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee tomorrow in an in depth door exercise.  Ugwuonye said: "

“I look forward to it, really. But everbody knows, it is quite a serious business. I wish to also add that I would be busy staying alive and unharmed till that moment,” Ugwuonye, who is currently in fee dispute with the Embassy, said today on his Facebook wall. He also alleged that he was trailed by possibly attackers. "“Well, I don't want to panic anybody, but yesterday evening, my car was followed. It had been too obvious my car had been followed. I won't discuss the important points without exposing how and why there was no incident in the end. But when I get the ability to right a memoir, I will disclose the drama of yesterday's evening. Because of this incident, I'd either not step out today or I'd follow a different route if I do.” More update later...

APC govs meet Buhari on ministerial nominees Tuesday

Governors of the All Progressives Congress are meeting with the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja on Tuesday, The PUNCH has learnt.

gmb

The meeting, it was gathered, would be the first to be attended by the governors jointly since the conduct of the March 28 presidential election which Buhari won.

One of the governors, who spoke on the condition of anonymity with our correspondent in Abuja on Sunday, said that the meeting would also be attended by all the APC governors-elect.

He said, “The APC governors, serving and incoming, are to meet GMB (Buhari) on Tuesday morning in Abuja to pay a courtesy call on him, formally congratulate him on his electoral victory and make input into the policy direction of the administration ahead of the May 29 inauguration of the new government.

“Ahead of the Tuesday meeting, the governors would hold a meeting on Monday evening in Abuja where we would firm up our presentation to the President-elect.”

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who said he was not aware of the meeting, however, stated that it was possible.

He said he had been busy with the work of the transition committee set up by Buhari.

Mohammed said, “Yes, the meeting is possible but I have been busy with the committee’s work.”

It was learnt that the governors might demand that they be allowed to nominate those to be appointed ministers in their states.

Apart from this, the governors are also expected to make their position known on which zone to be supported for the office of the Senate President.

It was gathered that the governors would demand that they be allowed to nominate who should become the Senate President.

Despite the fact that two of the governors contested the presidential primaries against Buhari, majority of the governors supported his candidacy.

After Buhari’s emergence as the party’s standard bearer, the governors wanted one of them as his running mate, but when the lot fell on Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), they bowed to party supremacy and supported the GMB/PYO ticket.

It was gathered that the governors felt that they should be allowed to present the next Senate President since they had not collectively got anything since the formation of the APC.

Buhari emerged from the old All Nigeria Peoples Party and the defunct Congress for Progressives Change block while Osinbajo emerged from the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria block.

The governors believed that they played a prominent role in the merger that led to the formation of the APC.
