Gays have gifts and qualities to offer the church - Vatican

The Vatican has asked for gay men and women to be given a chance in the catholic faith as they have gifts and qualities to offer the church. This call was made in a document released yesterday October 13th by the Vatican after a week-long Synod (Council of a church, usually convened to decide an issue of doctrine,) attended by about 200 bishops, who deliberated and came up with the resolution contained in a document which is known by its latino name "relatio",

Mayhem in Yenagoa, Bayelsa as suspected drunk soldier kills colleague

There was pandemonium yesterday night among security agencies in Yenagoa, Bayelsa after a soldier suspected to be drunk, shot and killed his colleague during an argument.

According to eye-witnesses, the incident happened around 11pm on Monday night at Olopa Junction, very close to Bayelsa state Government House. The yet to be identified soldier was immediately disarmed and arrested by his other colleagues and is currently remanded in a police cell.

The killer and victim are said to be attached to the police station in Olopa junction, Yenagoa. Spokesperson of Bayelsa State Police Command, Alex Akhigbe confirmed the killing but said it was a military affair. Details of the killing later.

 Listed below are photos of a young boy, not over 6 years of age, spotted hawking drinks as early as 10 today in Lagos. Some individuals need to really make ends meet to survive but sending a kid this young to the road is child abuse on every level. That is so heartbreaking to see!

GEJ commiserates with Alamieyeseigha on the death of his son

Former Bayelsa state governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha's second son Oyamuyefa was killed in Dubai over the weekend. Some reports claim he committed suicide but it's been confirmed that he was actually murdered. Hopefully, we will get the full story in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Pres. Jonathan and his wife have released a statement commiserating with the former governor. President Jonathan promised the former governor support from the federal government in assisting to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of his son. Find the press statement after the jump

Photo: Dallas nurse with Ebola has been identified


The Dallas nurse who contracted Ebola while treating Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, has been identified at 26 year old Nina Pham. Nina, according to report, was among over 50 staff of the hospital that cared for Duncan who later died on October 8th.

UN worker dies of Ebola in Germany

A United Nation Aids worker who was being treated for Ebola at the St George clinic in Leipzig, Germany has died. The unidentified UN worker who was flown back to Germany from Liberia  last week after contracting the deadly virus, died in the early hours of today, October 14th. A statement from the hospital read; 
"The Ebola patient died during the night in the St. George Clinic in Leipzig. Despite intensive medical measures and maximum efforts by the medical team, the 56 year old succumbed to the serious infectious disease"

Wizkid's Ex-Music producer, Samklef calls him out on twitter..


 It seems music producer Samklef wants to auction Wizkid's instrumental (for the songs he was involved in) to anyone interested...lol. Samklef said in an interview yesterday that even though he doesn't regret working with Wizkid's talent, he regrets working with his person. Wizkid has since shown him love on Twitter but it seems Samklef isn't having any of that. See more tweets after the jump break.
