Big Brother season 9 housemate, Lilian Afegbai was evicted after a couple of weeks in the home, making her the first Nigerian housemate to be evicted this season. However, Lilian who was simply noted for her twerking skills says she does not have any regrets and would have been a star regardless. She also shutdown allegations that she was acting like Karen Igho in the house.

 

In an interview, she said

I wasn’t trying to imitate Karen, I’m Lilian and I am different. I have my own personality. For those who think I was trying to imitate Karen, well, welcome to my world.”

On her plans

I am taking a cue from Gideon Okeke. He did not win, but today, he is a star. I lasted two weeks in the house, and for those two weeks, I showcased myself and entertained Africa. Everyone was glued to their TV. But now, I am out here and people get to see me on the TV. I have been on Tinsel, Afriwood, but people didn’t know me. Now they will know me and talk about me and my moves. I am going to show Africa what I can do. I may not have won, but trust me, I am going to be bigger than the winner.

On her infamous butt massage

In the real world, I can have a friend and ask him or her to give me a massage. I had no ulterior motives. Luis gave me a massage and I did not have second thoughts. It didn’t lead anywhere. I did not have any negative thoughts. It was just a mate giving me a massage in the house.

On if it wasn’t too early to have such kind of massage

That was how I felt at that point. If I was in my house, I would go to a spa or look for a friend to massage my body. I did not see anything wrong in it. There is something people don’t know: we had been locked down for over a month; it wasn’t easy.

IBB returns from Germany after 8 weeks

Former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), who left Nigeria on Sept. 6, arrived the country yesterday November 1st after undergoing surgery in a German hospital.

IBB reached the Minna airport by 2.50 pm in a chartered flight and was received by Mohammed and Halima, his children, in addition to some government officials, his good friends and associates. He was dressed up in blue kaftan with gray stripes, left the airport for his hilltop house, Minna in a BMW car and arrived at 3:15 pm to the waiting hands of four of his grand children….

 In a brief interview with journalists, when asked if the pressure won’t be a lot of for him with 2015 politicking, IBB said he have been following a political developments in Nigeria whilst in Germany, and added that,

“I missed all of you that welcomed me, especially my local champions (journalists). I look forward to all of you, to seat and chat with you and talk about politics as we always do. For now, I want to rest.”

Tragedy In Church As Worshipers Are Sent Home For 'indecent' Dressing

Recently, worshippers of St Francis Catholic Church in Diani town got the shock of their  lives when many of them were turned away at the gate for indecent dressing. Dressed up in a dark sleeveless dress, a little yellow belt and high heel shoes, Julia Baraza, a typical worshipper, in her mid-20s was surprised by the newest rule in church that saw her miss out the 8.30 mass.

“Two people, a woman and a man told me that my type of clothes were banned from church and I should change into a proper attire,” Baraza wrote on her Facebook page.

Baraza expressed displeasure at the way she was turned away. She wondered what may have happened had she donned a little skirt or perhaps a spaghetti top as is standard in the coastaltown.

“My dress was not revealing. Others who had trousers were told to tie lessos. If churches treat people this way, we will shy away from church,” she lamented. I am surprised I was not turned away at Likoni Church. I think I will start going there,” she told The Nairobian. Some worshippers claim the priest identified only as Joseph had announced in the previous church service that indecent dressing would not be tolerated. Speaking to The Nairobian, the newly posted priest declined to reveal any information regarding the announcement. He denied any knowledge of the alleged announcement. “You say you are from the media? Is it me who made that announcement,” he said.
