Among the things I look out for when I’m going into any relationship is that the guy must certanly be drop dead gorgeous because I really like fine boys and I wish to be able up to know him and love him enough to not ever consider another man as fine
. However I haven’t dated anyone in the last few 36 months because those who have been coming my way aren’t that fine.
Anyway, there’s he who my Pastor just introduced me to as she’s concerned about my single status being that I’m old enough to be in my husband’s house. The guy she introduced me to is tall, a Pilot, very Godly but the thing is he isn’t fine. He says he wants to get serious with me and looks forward to us getting married nevertheless when I look at him, I don’t want to check again as he isn’t handsome. My girlfriends assert I should just manage him and that I’d develop the passion for him as time goes by. The question is, would I ever have the ability to love him and can a lady really manage a person who isn’t around her own personal standard?
France and Britain were the two countries that colonized most of the colonized countries in the world. At their height, Britain control over 1/5 of the worlds population.
Among the major countries that Britain colonized include; USA, India, Nigeria, Malaysia and South Africa. These are countries that houses over 1.8 billion people presently. Like wise France, at its height, Libya, Senegal and a lot other countries where under it control.
The colonial masters notably, Britain, France, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Spain, had in an agreement in 1884 in a meeting called by German Rod Von Bismark divide Africa between themselves in response to a conflict between Britain and France about some parts of Nigeria. The two of them all wanted to control the areas that have the largest population and resources in Africa. After the agreement, the two settled their differences and continue with their conquest.
The are insinuations that France hates Nigeria. Some claimed that France is using our neighboring France colonized countries to cause havoc to Nigeria. There are claims that France was among greatest contributors to Biafaran (Nigeria’s civil war). The France, Israel, and the Vatican were believed to have strongly supported Biafara for different motives. For France, it was to divide Nigeria as that will be advantageous to france colonized countries in Africa. The Vatican motives was because, the Vatican perceived that Christians were been killed. While for Israel is only Gods knows.
With the current insurgency in the North east, there are also reports that Israel and France are supporting it. Both the three countries bordering Borno are Francophone countries. Time will tell. But if what the people are saying is true, why have Britain and USA allow them to do that? MI 6 of Britain and CIA of US are among the most sophisticated secret services in the world, did they mean they are not aware of the truth of what is happening? Nigeria has been on Britain and US “special interest areas”, is it that they are no longer interested in Nigeria? Or are they simple part of France plan?
It will be recalled that when there was some problems in some Francophone countries like Mali, Burkina Faso, and CAR, it was France that settle it. Now the crisis in Nigeria – if any help is needed, Britain is expected to help. But already France has sent it troops to advice Nigerian army. An international summit has been held in France and Niger republic – which is also a Francophone country, what is really happening?
It will be coward for Britain and USA to forsake Nigeria and allow France to destroy it. If the Britain is no longer interested in Nigeria, then let us be, but don’t destroy us.

I went out with my family to have fun for the weekend; on getting back to the car we realized we had a flat tire. I decided to guardedly drive to the nearby gas station to air the tire up, it didn’t work out because it was a huge damage. Ok now, I opened the trunk, brought out the spare tire, jack and vehicle wheel spanner to change it; the car tire was so flat to the alloy rim, so the purpose for my high jack was defeated; while trying to loosen the nuts, the spanner gave up its functional duties and asked for a change. I thought to myself: “which kain wahala be dis? I for kukuma siddon for house jejely.”
As I walked towards the convenience store, a man in his forties approached me and asked what the problem was, I said: “ I got a flat tire, can you spare me a few minutes to use your spanner bro?”, he said: “ I’m so sorry I gotta rush somewhere, you can have my spanner, I know how it feels because I have been stranded in a similar situation”. I expressed my gratitude, but was a little surprised because I had given up hope in this wicked world. Anyway, Problem one solved. Problem two: I thought of how to buy another jack that was designed for low cars, only to envisage that Walmart was quite a distance away from where I was situated. I knew fixing the problem hastily was of the essence because the cold weather wasn’t friendly to my kids and wifey either.
The Nigerian mentality of improvising in challenging situations like this, took over me, so for a moment I thought I was a “super man” who could lift one side of the car up and requested my wife to slot in the jack, and behold, after some exhausting moments of fooling myself, I gave up, because my innovation wasn’t even “half-way” close to actualization.
Thinking of better ideas, an old man in his early sixties drove towards me showing his concerns, he brought out his jack, I was surprised at the way he laid comfortably on the bare floor, looking for the right spot to place his jack, we later found it, raised the car up and got the tire changed. I rolled the damaged tire like a fatigued 5 year old Nigerian boy to the trunk; still at the trunk(out of his sight), I got out some notes from my wallet to show appreciation, with the squeezed notes in my hands, I gave him a handshake like we were exchanging pleasantries, and telling him thank you; as our hands departed, he realized there were some squeezed notes in his hands, he said “nah! nah! naahh! Bro, I did this from my heart” I stepped backwards and said “ I know, I did it from my heart too” This old man chased me and said: “don’t embarrass me bro, I love to do good, money is nothing”. He quickly squeezed it into my pocket, and I unblinkingly stared at him like a hypnotized man.
As he walked back to his car, I couldn’t say another thank you and all I could “echo” to him was: “there are still good men in this world, and you’re the prove”. He smiled and said: “spread the love.” “I sure will”, I said.
I know every human has a certain degree of selfishness, however, if we could just kill some of those egocentric feelings to the barest minimum, this world would be a better place.

A group of concerned Nigerians came together to make a documentary called “The Displaced”.The documentary tells the horror stories of Nigerians displaced from their homes in the northeastern areas of Nigeria as Islamist militant group, Boko Haram, continues to attack villages, towns and cities in that area. The documentary was made by Aminu Ahmed and Nori Mathias and only attempts to inform the story of internally displaced persons in a one state (Adamawa State) of Nigeria. It’s strictly humanitarian, non profit and apolitical. Watch bellow.
