Below is a mail from an eye witness…

“I would like you to help me post a news on your website over a driver that was killed by some police men yesterday in Agbor, Delta state. The driver meets expectations with APACO froth industry, Agbor. On hisback to the company from where he went to dispatch goods‎ in kwale with his associate, he ran into some police men with the vehicle “Abavo police watch ” who stopped then at check point yet he didn’t stop. The police men pursued them from Abavo town to agbor, precisely before the APACO foam industry.

The driver understood the police men were nearing towards their vehicle, so he ran out of the vehicle out of fear, his partner didn’t run. Just for the police to shoot at him three times however he was still running with the slug in his body. So the police men took the other associate to their station and took around 700 thousand they supposed to return back to the company. Then the police didn’t know the driver they shot had kicked the bucket as of now. We woke up yesterday morning to discover the driver’s cadaver out and on the road side. The case is consistently taken to the state CID asaba as of now and the police men has been captured. The name of the driver is tochukwu okafor and the partner Nnamdi Akamefuna.  The late driver is just 33yrs old with six children.‎ How can a police man be this evil?

Federal High court in Abuja grants PDP permission to declare Tambuwal's seat vacant

A Federal High court in Abuja today Dec. 1st gave PDP permission to utilize for a mandatory order compelling either the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, to declare the Kebbe/Tambuwal seat being held by Hon Aminu Tambuwal vacant following his recent defection to APC from the People’s democratic Party.

The PDP had dragged Tambuwal to court, asking the court to mandate him to declare his seat vacant and vacate his position as Speaker following his defect to the APC.

Delivering his ruling today, the presiding judge granted the PDP “leave to apply, through judicial review, for an order of mandamus compelling the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives to give effect to the provisions of Section 68(1)(g) of the Constitution by declaring the Kebbe/Tambuwal federal Constituency seat vacant.”.

More than 10 persons were killed with a few others extremely harmed after 2 female suicide bombers exploded themselves at the Maiduguri Monday Market in Borno state at the beginning of today. Someone who was at the cell as of late and took photographs. See what he composed beneath!!


This is the NSCDC (Nigeria Security & Civil Defense Corps) detainment cell for both witnesses and suspects at their office opposite Lagos State Secretariat Alausa. At the time this picture was taken, 7 elderly men over 60years weredetained for three days as witnesses not suspects to case.

Today would make it six days. The zinc house near the cell is the latrine where the NSCDC officers take turns to urinate and stinky smell goes into the cell that has no type of ventilation. So now I get some information about “the Civil Defense Corps?”

Judge requests sale of Erastus Akingbola's Cayman Island properties to recuperate ₦164n debt

Ex- Group Managing Director of the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc, Erastus Akingbola’s properties in Cayman Islands have now been frozen by the Grand Court of Cayman Islands in a bid to recoup a debt of N164 billion from him. The property is recognized as 2 Cambridge Court.


This employs his properties, some flats at 17, 18, 19&20, Embassy Court London, NW 8, London, were sold.

Access Bank, which acquired Intercontinental Bank in 2012, had filed a debt recovery action in a London High Court, according of the sum said to have been converted and allegedly misappropriated by Erastus Akingbola who had been also saddled with the responsibility of investing in the fee incurred by Access Bank while processing the case.

The court in a ruling by Mr Justice Andrew Jones QC, also granted a default judgment in the amount of N238,471,484, 162 and 1.8 million pounds in favour of Access Bank with interest from April 2014 until payment is made.

Nigerian lawyer Tunde Okewale makes GQ's World's Coolest men lis

30 year old Nigerian/British lawyer Tunde Okewale was included in GQ magazine's list of the 35 “coolest” men under 38 years old. Tunde, who comes in at number 33, was called to bar in 2007.

The human rights advocate was listed alongside the likes of Prince William, Drake and Tom Hardy. GQ described Tunde as having “celebrity” status within the English legal profession. The mag said Tunde was included in the list because he “was named one of the best-looking men in the legal world" by several blogs and also because he set up Urban lawyers, an organisation that is making the law accessible to young people.

In his recent article in the Economist, Tony Elumelu declared that, “In 2015, the African entrepreneur will explode on to the global stage, as a new generation shows the world what those of us doing business in Africa have long known: that our continent is home to some of the most exciting and innovative entrepreneurial talent.”
