Nigerian journalist arrested in Cameroon, accused of spying for Boko Haram

 Simon Ateba works with (or used to work for) PM News and is the publisher of Simonateba.com. A few days ago, he managed to leave a message on Twitter and Facebook before he was locked up in Cameroon on spying charges. The journalist who said he was in the country to investigate the conditions of over 50,000 Nigerian refugees camped there, was arrested for venturing into a refugee camp without permission. Now they are threatening to charge him for espionage, saying they suspect he was spying for Boko Haram. See his tweets after the jump..

The man who got it asserts he specializes in killing snakes as large as an human being. The snake was sold to a driver for ten thousand naira minute after it was caught.

5 People Killed By Gunmen In Plateau On Their Way To A Market


The story as narrated by Minority Report NG. At around 8am yesterday August 31st, 5 indigenes of Tanti in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State, comprising of 3 men and two women set out to Mai Katako market in Bokkos. One of the women had her 3 month old baby with her. The group was attacked before they got to the market. The gunmen shot the 5 adults and the baby and hacked the faces of the adults with machetes. According to him, the baby survived and is currently receiving proper medical attention in a hospital. See photos of those slaughtered after the jump.

Landlord Set Tenant’s 3-year-old Son On Fire

A 65-year-old landlord, Joseph Olaleye have been captured by police investigators at Otta division of the Ogun State Command for supposedly setting his inhabitant three year old child, Abdulahi Razaq on fire leading the kid's passing.
The State Police Spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, in an announcement, noticed that the 65-year-old, who lives in Olowosatide, Owode Ijako Ota in Ado Odo Otta Local Government Area of the state carried out the act at around 1pm on Monday.
Adejobi said the suspect tossed a lighted stove at the deceased, subsequently bringing on extreme wounds on the victim and when he was rushed to a Hospital in Otta, the kid was confirmed dead.

Protesters Attempt to Break Into Ukraine's Parliament, Clash With Police

The Pakistani and Indian High Commissioners to Nigeria have disagreed over reports that the two Nigerian students that were arrested in India are on their way to join the terrorist group, Islamic State of Syria and Iraq.
