Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the removal of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Rivers State Governor, Mr Nyesom Wike less than five days to the State’s legislative re-run
election, saying; “With this ignoble action by the federal government, it is now clear that the federal government is out to subvert the will of the people of Rivers State by whatever means in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

As I sit to answer this I am gripped by a state of unexpected indetermination as what I thought to be a painless task has become rather difficult. Painless because I can simply translate a passage from one of the hundreds of manuals on Sunni creed—where defining Sunnism is a run of a mill standard procedure. Additionally, the relative homogeneity of the content on this subject matter by Sunni writers— for well over a millennium— makes the work further free from complication(1).

Abubakar: Even With Our Money, Countries Don’t Want To Sell Aircraft To Nigeria.

Sadique Abubakar, chief of air staff, says the Nigeria air force uses old aircraft because new ones are difficult to procure.  Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Saturday, the air chief said sometimes, politics is involved in the procurement of military hardware.  He explained that even if money was available to buy military equipment, some countries would still not want to sell.

NDLEA impounds 2 vehicles loaded with cannabis in Adamawa

The Adamawa Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has impounded two vehicles loaded with hard drugs in the state.

The state Commander of the agency, Mr. Yakubu Kibo, said at a news briefing in Yola that the drug total 70.653kg.

Stowaway found dead in Arik Air’s A330-200 aircraft wheel

The lifeless body of a stowaway was on Wednesday found in the main wheel well of one of Arik Air’s A330-200 aircraft at the Oliver Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg.
The airline confirmed the incident in a statement by its Communications Manager, Mr Ola Adebanji, a copy of which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

20-year-old man arrested for hacking motorcyclist to death

Cephas Appaf was arrested in Benin, Edo State, for allegedly hacking a motorcyclist to death in the Ovia South-West LGA of the state. Appaf, a rubber tapper, from Benue State, had asked Aniete Okon to give him a ride to Benin, on November 3, 2016.
