A lady was transported to a Virginia hospital after showing potential signs of Ebola not in the Pentagon, an Arlington County Police Department spokesman, Dustin Sternback confirmed with our source.

Pentagon Police officers found the girl in the Pentagon South Parking Lot ill and vomiting. She told authorities that she'd recently visited West Africa, said the press release from the Arlington County Police Department.

The Arlington, Virginia County Fire Department (ACFD) took care of the incident immediately with a HazMat response team and emergency and medical aid.

ACFD then transported the girl to the Fairfax, Virginia Inova Hospital and Arlington County has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Join Information Center (JIC) to help manage the incident.

The corridor 2 entrance to the Pentagon has been closed off and vehicles and pedestrian activity round the Pentagon South Parking lot has been restricted until further notice.

The existing Ebola epidemic, one of many current global security issues, were only available in southern Guinea by the end of 2013 and later spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Senegal, with several Ebola cases having been reported beyond West Africa.

In line with the latest figures, released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on October 17, the present outbreak has claimed the lives of 4,555 people, with an overall total quantity of 9,216 confirmed, probable and suspected Ebola cases.
