30 year Thomas Gilbert Jr, (imagined left) shot his 70year old rich father Thomas Gilbert (envisioned right) at his Manhattan home on Sunday evening January fourth. Gilbert Sr was the founder of $200million hedge fund, Wainscott Capital.
Thomas Jr had gone to see his dad at his home after the father debilitated to quit paying his $2,400-a-month rent furthermore slice his week by week recompense to $300, as per New York Daily News. While father and child were purportedly contending about their issues, Thomas Jr sent his mom out of the house to buy him a sandwich so she wouldn’t witness what he was trying to do.
As per reports, Thomas, who went to $50,000-a-year school, then shot his dad in the head and left the weapon, said to have a place with his dad, on his midsection.
The support investments founder’s body was found by his wife who then called police and let them know she’d left her child with his dad before she went out that evening. She then gave the police her child’s location. The NYPD captured Thomas Jr later at his own home and toward the beginning of today accused him of his dad’s homicide and criminal ownership of a weapon.
