Search and Recue Team: Russian Aircraft Finds 30 Objects in AirAsia Crash Search Zone

Russian search and Rescue helicopters are approaching the area where 30 articles and a body in a life coat have been found by the Russian Be-200 land and/or water capable air ship.

ABUJA, January 5 (Ooduarere), Balogun Adesina — A Russian Be-200 land and/or water capable flying machine has discovered 30 articles and a body inside the Airasia missing plane hunt zone, Eduard Chizhikov, the leader of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Task Force in Indonesia, said Monday.


“During the day, Be-200 has conducted aerial reconnaissance in the area of search work. The aircraft has made two sorties, each has lasted two hours. Thirty objects have been found, their coordinates sent to the coordination headquarters of emergency situation consequence liquidation. One of the objects has been practically identified as a body in a life jacket,” Chizhikov said.


Russian search and rescue helicopters are approaching the area where the items have been discovered, Chizhikov included.


More than 70 Russian rescuers are right now in Indonesia to help in the quest for Airasia’s Airbus A320-200, which collided with the Java Sea on December 28. Two Russian planes, an Il-76 load plane and a Be-200 land and/or water capable air ship, are generally utilized as a part of the pursuit operation.


Airasia’s Flight Qz8501 was conveying 155 travelers, for the most of which are Indonesians, and seven crew members. The missing plane did not transmit misery signals preceding its vanishing from radar screen.
