We Won’t Watch Nigeria Break-Up —CDS

Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Gabriel Olonisakin, yesterday, warned those clamouring for self-determination to desist, vowing that it was unachievable as the military would fight to keep Nigeria indivisible.
The CDS therefore, assured that the military would continue to ensure that Nigeria remains one. Olonisakin was speaking when he received Commander of French Forces in Senegal, Brigadier General Pascal Facon, when he paid courtesy call at Defence Headquarters, Abuja, in furtherance of the French Government’s bilateral cooperation with the Nigerian Armed Forces.

General Olonisakin, who maintained that no matter the several forces that are bent at entrenching disunity in some section of the country, the military was capable of ensuring that Nigeria will come out clean and even stronger.
Earlier, the French Forces Commander told his host that he was in Defence Headquarters in furtherance of President Muhammadu Buhari’s bilateral talks with the French President to collaborate in fighting insurgency in the North East.
He further applauded the Nigerian military for the successes made against Boko Haram terrorists and assured of his country’s readiness to support the Nigerian Armed Forces in the areas of training and intelligence to defeat the terrorists and other maritime criminalities.
