Your sleeping position is very important for your overall health. Generally, experts recommend sleeping on the back, while sleeping on the right side is considered as the worst according to them.

We all know that it is difficult to control your sleeping position. Doctors tend to tell every pregnant woman to avoid sleeping on the right side because of the following reasons:

The blood flow that goes to your baby is decreased.
According to experts, sleeping on the right side is not good for the placenta, which plays a vital role in the health of the baby.
Also, it is considered that this sleeping position can prevent the nutrients from getting to the baby.
Sleeping on the right side while pregnant can also put additional pressure to your liver since you weight more than normal. This can be very bad for your health.
Sleeping on the right side is associated with an increased risk of stillbirth. This risk is doubled during the final semester of the pregnancy, and therefore you need to avoid sleeping on the right side as much as possible.

Heartburn


Adult people who have problems with heartburn can only worsen the situation by sleeping on their right side.

Numbness
People who sleep on their right or left side usually wake with squished arm or numbness. This is a result of the additional pressure put on the arm while sleeping, which leads to reduced blood flow.

Also, you press down your nerve which leads to the rubber arm sensation. This make wake you up in the middle of the night and can cause insomnia.

Precancerous
GERD- gastroesophageal reflux damages your esophagus and it can even lead to cancer development.

There are some benefits of sleeping on the right side. For instance, it can lower your pulse and your blood pressure. But, finally, we can conclude that sleeping on the back is the best sleeping position.
