Tesla is going to unveil its new new Model 3 sedan tonight at 8:30pm PT and you can watch the reveal live.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has already said that this will be “part 1 of the Model 3 unveil,” with the second more comprehensive reveal coming closer to production.
Part 2, which takes things to “another level” says Musk, will be closer to production. So far, Tesla maintains that the car will begin production at the end of 2017.
There are plenty of Model 3 rumors already circulating around the internet, including a 0 to 60 mph time of four seconds and a range of over 300 miles. So far, Tesla has only officially said that the car will cost less than $35,000 before incentives and will have a range of over 200 miles.
Tesla will begin accepting orders for the car on March 31, when customers will be asked to place a $1,000 down payment on a car.
Lineups have been forming at Tesla stores full of people looking to be first to reserve a Model 3 and Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that a “small token of appreciation [is] coming for those who lined up.” Online reservations can also be made and will be accepted once the reveal event starts.
