Three Ukrainian citizens have stabbed three Indian students in the medical college of the western Ukraine's city of Uzhhorod, the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
NEW DELHI — According to Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup, two of the students have died from the injures, while the third one is being treated in hospital.
"In an unfortunate event, three Indian students in Uzhhorod Medical College [Ukraine] were stabbed by three Ukrainian nationals at around 3 AM [00:00 GMT] in the morning of Sunday, 10 April 2016 <…> The police apprehended the Ukrainian nationals who were trying to cross the Ukrainian border. Passports/documents of the three Indian students and blood-stained knife were reportedly recovered from the Ukrainian nationals," Swarup told Sputnik.
Preparations to send the bodies of the two killed students to India are underway, he added.
