Enugu Police embark on aerial surveillance with helicopters to fish out would be mischief makers

Read a statement issued today, May 20 by Enugu State Police Command:

"As part of measures to ensure that entire Enugu state and its environs are made safe and secured,the state command through the Airwing of the Nigeria police Force have begun an aerial surveillance of the three senatorial zone of the state beginning from Ukpabi Nimbo and Nsukka zone today 18/5/16.This exercise will offer the platform to fish out would be mischief makers,have proper sight of all the nooks and cranies of the state for effective crime prevention and control.According to Enugu cp Emmanuel Ojukwu,it is the gesture of the Inspector General of police and the Government to ensure that the entire area is made safe while advising members of the public not to entertain fear or panic as the helicopter patrols their areas.


In another development,the state command has commenced a full scale investigations into the alleged incident of Armed Robbery on 18/5/16 at the early hours along Okwe Ugwuoba by Enugu Onitsha Expressway.Meanwhile,the state commissioner of police Emmanuel Ojukwu has mobilized security operatives who are working in partnership with relevant stake holders and the police pilot with a view to flushing out criminals from their hideouts."
