Not less than five communities of Ladin Buta near Khaddamari village of Jere Local Government Area of Borno state were attacked by suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram sect who meted horror on the villagers. According to reports, the terrorists invaded the communities around 7pm on Tuesday and set ablaze many houses after killing scores of residents and wounding many others. Some of the deceased have been laid to rest according to Islamic rites. Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Borno State Hon Usman Durkwa who represented governor Kashim Shettima visited, sympathized and commiserated with the victims of the gruesome attack at Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by executive chairman State emergency management agency and other State commissioners. The Deputy Governor was briefed by the head districts of the villages about the recent attack by Boko Haram where lives and properties was destroyed worth of millions of naira were lost. The attackers came in group with 7 motorcycle, they were about 22 in number.
