Balling things. Mr attractive and rich Davido slipped nearly $8,000 (about N1.3m) for a room at the lavish Wynn Las Vegas and Encore lodge for his birthday week-end next month. He paid that money for just three days, Nov 21st to 24th. These kind of thing frequently need to be paid in advance. He provided his booking evidence on his instagram page. #living!

 A dangerous accident occurred around 9.30am today along Wuse Market bridge in Abuja, leaving everyone dead and three others severely injured. The reason for the accident is not even known but many believe speeding might have been a factor. The corpse of the accident victim has been taken fully to the mortuary as the injured have now been rushed to National Hospital Garki, Abuja for medical attention. The Wife of Cameroon's Vice PM,Chinese nationals, others released by B'Haram

27 people, such as the wife of Cameroon's Vice PM Amadou Ali, 10 Chinese nationals and others have been taken hostage by Boko Haram men between May and July this season have now been released. Their release was made known in a statement released today by Cameroon's Minister of Information, Issa Bakary

 "The 27 hostages kidnapped on May 16 2014 at Waza and on July 27th at Kolofata were given this night to Cameroonian authorities. Ten Chinese, the wife of the Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, the Lamido of Kolofata, and members of their families kidnapped with them are safe" the statement read in part

It didn't state whether their release was made possible through negotiations or if it was a voluntary act by the sect members

Ebola: First Consultant Hospital indicts Liberian Ambassador

 First Consultants Medical Centre, the Lagos hospital where the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria, late Liberian Patrick Sawyer died, has indicted the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria (pictured right) for his involvement in the case, saying he put the hospital under pressure to release Sawyer against the wish of its management, Vanguard reports.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri, said:

6.3-Magnitude Quake Hits Off Japan’s East Coast

A powerful 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck early Saturday off Japan's eastern coast of Honshu, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported. The shock was registered at the depth of 13 kilometers, with the epicenter located 154 kilometers away from the southeastern city of Hachinohe, in southeastern Aomori Prefecture. There is no threat of a tsunami wave, as well as no reports of victims or damage.

Taiwo Oshadipe’s Burial Postponed

Late Taiwo Oshadipe's burial has been postponed once again. Taiwo Oshadipe (may her soul rest in peace) , who died last Friday, October 3rd, following loud complaints of chest and heart pains in Lagos was supposed to be buried today. But according to Encomium, her burial has been postponed till next week in order to plan the funeral better. Both Pastor Taiwo Ogunesan and Olumide Akinsanya (the long time manager of the Oshadipe Twins) mentioned the postponement during a candle light procession which held in her honor yesterday, Thursday, October 9, 2014. More details, both chorused, will be communicated later concerning the burial.

In line with the UK Daily Mail, Angelina Jolie was made an honorary dame today in recognition of her campaigning against sexual violence. She was given the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George at a reception at Buckingham Palace.
