Man beats his four months pregnant wife to death in Enugu

The police in Enugu state have arrested one Ozoemena Nwankwo, described as a serial wife beater,  for allegedly beating his 4-month pregnant wife, Ndidi, to death at their Akpawfu village residence in Nkanu-East Local Government Area in Enugu on October 17th, Vanguard reports.

The state's Police PRO, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident in a statement...

"Close family source informed the command that the suspect had been using his wife as punching bag. The suspects wife is four months pregnant. Due to the beating she got from the husband on that fateful day which inflicted injuries on her right leg and on her vital organs, she was rushed to hospital.

Russia to Ban Imports of Cars, Heavy Equipment, Metallurgy Products: Reports

 Russia is preparing to bar state-run companies from importing vehicles, heavy equipment and metallurgy products, an influential Russian daily said Sunday.

According to the data, obtained by the Kommersant newspaper from the Russian ministries of industry and trade, and economic development, Russia's state-owned companies will be prohibited from buying certain foreign-made industry products that have Russian analogues.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed to the paper it had drafted a "general directive," which will apply to companies that are 50 percent or more owned by the Russian government, although no list was revealed.

Celtic defender Efe Ambrose, has rubbished reports that he is set to quit the Super Eagles, after Stephen Keshi dropped him for the game against Sudan in Abuja.  The Big Boss chose to play Ogenyi Onazi from right back, as Nigeria won 3-1 and Efe was reportedly heard telling a close friend he was not happy with his exclusion. However, the 25-year-old insists he will still play for his country and threatened legal action against anyone out to ruin his image. “It is totally false story. They want to use me but they cannot damage my image, this is my image. I will sue anybody who writes this false story without conforming from me before publishing,” Ambrose explained.

I've Stolen Millions With ATM Cards — 23yrs Graduate Confesses

Ondavey Weize, a 23yrs old graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, has revealed how he swapped the ATM cards of several persons with invalid cards and withdrawing large sums of money from their accounts before he was arrested by the Police in Calabar.

Weize, who has over 60 ATM cards in his possession, said he came to Calabar, Cross River State capital, two weeks ago from Abuja and had succeeded in swapping the ATM cards of many people and had withdrawn money from their accounts to spend lavishly in hotels and night clubs.

    The bad guy said: “Some of those cards are not valid but many of them are. What I do is to monitor people making withdrawals from ATMs. 

Nurse 'murdered 38 patients for pleasure and as a challenge'(Photos)

An Italian nurse has been arrested on suspicion of killing 38 patients and an investigator claims she treated murder as a challenge and a pleasure.  Daniela Poggiali, 41, was held after doctors at the hospital where she worked in Lugo, noticed that 38 patients had died during her night shifts over a three-month period. The average number of deaths for other nurses during the same period was ten.Ms Poggiali allegedly targeted patients she considered annoying, or who were visited by 'pushy relatives.'
