Actor sells his two year old son for 450,000 Naira

Kanayo Awurum, 29, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly selling his son for N450,000 in the Egbe, Ikotun area of the state.
  

He allegedly sold the two-year-old boy, identified as Samuel, to a middle-aged women.
Kanayo, who worked as a painter, reportedly lied to his wife, Kelechi, that one of the women was his relative in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the boy was going to live with her.

US claims China hacks U.S. Government, 4 Million identities compromised

US officials say they suspect China-based hackers are behind a cyber attack in which the Office of Personnel Management and the Interior Department were infiltrated, US sources said, though no one has indicated the grounds for those accusations.

The Office of Personnel Management is the human resources department for the federal government, and the hackers were able to access a vast amount of sensitive information about federal employees, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.

Justin Bieber was found guilty on Thursday of assault and careless driving.

The charges stemmed from an incident that happened in August 2014 in which Bieber was arrested after his ATV collided with a minivan that belonged to a Paparazzi who was taking pictures of him and his then girlfriend -Selena Gomez near Stratford in Ontario, Canada.

Kidnappers of Ondo regent contact family, demand N20m ransom

Kidnappers of the regent of Akungba Akoko township in Ondo state, Princess Mojisola Omosowon have contacted her family demanding for a N20 million ransom for her release. The regent was kidnapped by six men on June 3rd while on her way to the inaugural lecture of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in Akure, the Ondo state capital. Meanwhile her domain has been thrown into a state of restlessness since she was kidnapped. The youths in the community accused the Vice Chancellor of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun of being behind her abduction. The university management had to shut down the school indefinitely for fear of an attack by the youths.

Two sisters raped by a gang of six in Lagos

Two sisters identified as Essiet, 18, and Debby, 20, (not real names) were raped by a gang of six men at Ogundero/ Dahomey street in the Bariga area of Lagos state on Thursday May 28th. According to Punch, the sisters were returning from the hospital when they were accosted by the hoodlums. 4 of the men raped Essiet who was a virgin while two of the hoodlums raped Debby.

Nigerian Ebola volunteers accuse Nigieria Center for Disease Control of embezzling N28m Ebola fund

Nigerian Ebola Volunteers who recently returned to the country after successfully contributing to the eradication of Ebola in Liberia, have accused the management of Nigeria Center for Disease Control of embezzling N28 million given to them by the Federal Government for the fight against the deadly virus when it ravaged Nigeria in July last year.

The volunteers also accused the Federal government, African Union and other health bodies of poor welfare while they were serving in Liberia.
